Miscellaneous documentation updates

This section describes other important changes and additions to
the current 941 Reference Manual (part number GM1100,
revision D).

Using the N-S-E-W key

When creating or editing waypoints, the 941 displays a screen
containing a N-S-E-W key; however, this key isn't described in
the current 941 Reference Manual. Here's how it works: If you've
travelled to a part of the world that's south of the Equator or east
of the Prime Meridian (running through Greenwich, England),
the 941 automatically displays your lat/lon coordinates as "S" or
"E," respectively, instead of "N" and "W." The N-S-E-W key lets
you manually change these hemispheric values should it be
necessary. When the cursor is flashing anywhere in the lat or lon
fields, press the N-S-E-W key to change the hemispheric values.

Using the power switch

Turning the unit on
Page 14 of the 941 Reference Manual reads, "Press the POWER
switch briefly to turn on the 941X." This is correct. If you press
and hold the power switch for more than two seconds, however,
you'll actually shut the unit off. A brief press of the switch is all
that's necessary to power-on the unit.
Turning the unit off
Page 14 of the 941 Reference Manual reads, "To turn the 941X
off, press the POWER switch and hold it for at least one full
second until the unit turns off." This is incorrect. Pressing the
switch for only one second will not turn the unit off. You must
press and hold the POWER switch for at least two full seconds or
more until the unit turns off.
