3 Design and function 3.2. Adjusting the compactor roller (GRB1250 / GRB1500L) The compactor roller is journalled and can be raised and lowered to achieve the best setting for your prevailing needs. Change the compactor roller height setting as follows: - Undo the bolts that hold the compactor roller's shaft bearings in place.

3 Design and function - Place the spacer between the shaft bearing and the frame. - Reinstall the bolts that hold the compactor roller's shaft bearings in place.

3 Design and function - The compactor roller's position is now 10 mm lower than the frame.
3 Design and function 3.3. Adjusting the compactor roller (miscellaneous) If your grading beam has a marked bolt, the latter can be used to adjust compactor roller parallel alignment. The compactor roller cannot be adjusted lower than the grading beam frame, only upwards approx 8-9 mm.
3 Design and function 3.4. Extending side beams The side beams on most grading beams can be extended with bolt-on extensions. Install the extensions as described below.
4 Maintenance 4. Maintenance 4.1. Lubrication every 80 operating hours engcon recommends greasing every 80 hours. Grease recommendation: On delivery, we fill your product with our recommended universal mineral oil-based grease with an EP additive, a lithium soap thickener and a hardness of (NLGI) 2. In severe cold we recommend hardness (NLGI) 1.
