This Quick Install Guide is intended to help set up and confirm functionality of the
System III. For a complete description of all the options, please refer to the
System III Installation Manual.

Requirements:

• Debug Cable
• HyperTerminal session
• System III Console running on a Windows PC

Section 1-1 Configuring the SG-DRL3IP Linecard

After the SG-DRL3IP has been installed in the MLRF3 rack ensure that the SG-
DRL3IP is being displayed in the SG-System III Console software. If it is not
being displayed refer to Section 1-2 Troubleshooting.
Right-click on the linecard to be programmed and select 'Single Options'. Under
'Number', select Option [01] and click 'Read'. The Console will display in
hexadecimal (HEX) the first octet of the IP address currently programmed.
Convert the first octet of the new IP address for the SG-DRL3IP into hexadecimal
and enter it in the 'New' field. After the linecard finishes resetting, repeat the
process for the 2
click on the line card and click 'Refresh'. The Console software will now display
the new IP address.
