    IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide Introduction This document describes the installation procedure for the GSL Solutions IntelliCab and IntelliVault systems. The IntelliVault is the second generation of a highly automatic pharmacy workflow management system. The IntelliVault is built to eliminate bundling and picking errors, monitor inventory, and track the location of individual prescriptions.

    GSL Pallet It may be best to keep the cabinet on the GSL pallet to move it to the location at which the anchors and feet will be installed. Remember that this pallet should be returned to GSL when the installation is complete.

Refer to the site-specific GSL equipment layout to verify cabinet placement, power and network connections, et cetera.   • Page 13 IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide To unlock the override handle, insert the key and rotate it clockwise so that the slot is in the horizontal position. Then, pull the handle outward until the override catch engages to unlock the drawers.
  • Page 14 IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide permits only allows one drawer to be open at a time. However, this is not the case during installation. Though it is possible to open all drawers simultaneously, it must be diligently avoided. Each drawer is heavy, so the drawers should be removed and remain outside of the cabinet until the cabinet is put into its final position and leveled.

Underneath the drawer, depress the small tab and unplug the network cable. Detach the cable track from the drawer by loosening the thumbscrew until the cable track bracket drops away.
  • Page 16 IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide Release the red slide lock bracket at the top of the drawer by loosening it with a #2 Phillips screwdriver and rotating it to the side. Disengage the upper channel slide lock by pulling it forward until its locking toe is free. If needed, use a small tool like a flat head screwdriver to assist in moving the lock.

Pull the drawer all the way forward and position a drawer dolly at the in front of the drawer and on its center line. Line up the front face of the drawer with the flat to angled transition on the top of the drawer dolly.

Most floors have imperfections, so it will be necessary to adjust one or more feet to accommodate the contour variations in the floor. Set the initial height by rotating the threaded adjuster clockwise so that the first height indicator is just above the foot base.

Tilt the cabinet backward, insert the bolt upward through the corner hole at the bottom of the cabinet, then secure the foot with a washer and nut. Repeat this for the other front foot.     IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide Install the Anchor Straps The IntelliVault includes either a security strap kit or a stronger seismic strap kit. The numbers and type of parts are the same. The only difference between the kits is that the seismic straps are more robust.

Position the cabinet such that the rear legs rest up against the rear floor anchor stops. If using seismic or security anchors, slide the cabinet back on the floor bracket assembly until the rear legs are contacting the leg stops at the rear of the bracket.

Level the cabinet according to the instructions above. 2. Using the hex nuts near the bolt plate in the cabinet wall, lower each security strap until its hook drops past the mating lip of floor anchor.

    IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide Installing the CTS The Cabinet Top System (CTS) manages the automatic operation and communication between the Pharmacy Management System and the IntelliVault cabinet. Installation of the CTS includes positioning the server on top of the primary cabinet, and connection of the network and power cables.

  • Page 39 IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide FIRST SECURE THE CTS TO THE CABINET: DO NOT install the UPS and servers until this step is complete and the CTS has been bolted firmly to the cabinet. There are two holes in the bottom of the 3-drawer CTS, through which you'll need to insert the bolts to secure the CTS to the cabinet.
  • Page 40 IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide 4-drawer CTS: The 4-drawer CTS has an additional hole near the front- right of the unit. This to accommodate a different bolt pattern for the 4- drawer cabinet. When securing the CTS to the cabinet, be sure to use two bolts–one in the back and also one of the two holes in the front that aligns with the cabinet.
  • Page 41 IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide Step 7 Again, be sure to tightly secure the CTS to the cabinet before proceeding. Place the UPS inside of the CTS tray and secure it to the tray by inserting the larger velcro strap through the slot on the tray.
  • Page 42 IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide Step 9 With the tray open, begin to wire the CTS according to the diagram on the inside of the lid of the CTS. Connect the UPS and servers with the USB cables from the kit. Connect power to both the UPS and the PC servers.

Install a drawer damper into its mounting block on the back of the drawer at its base. Slide the damper into position, with the machined end first. Insert damper before installing last drawer: Since the rear of the last drawer will be inaccessible, it is necessary to install the damper on the last drawer BEFORE sliding it onto the drawer track.

There is one master cabinet, which connects to the CTS. All other cabinets are slave cabinets. Power and network connections are necessary in all configurations, but there is additional complexity if there are more than two slave cabinets.

    Prepare for Pharmacy Operation This checklist is intended to ensure that cabinet purchased by GSL Solutions are in proper working condition when they are delivered to GSL Solutions or shipped to a client. This checklist should be executed for every cabinet delivered to GSL.
  • Page 69 Move the drawer in and out a few times. Ensure that the drawer closes with a light push. 3. With the drawer fully open, check the paint and metal on the back of the drawer to ensure that there are no scratches or dents. Notify GSL of any issues. 4. Close all of the drawers.

    This is a preliminary set of instructions to explain how to swap boards in the Gen 2 Intellivault. This procedure requires access to the GSL Intellisys server so you can run the MCB Tester. DO NOT OPEN a drawer containing drugs in a customer pharmacy unless you strictly follow the procedure in this chapter.

    IntelliVault Gen II - Installation Guide Appendix C - MCB Drawer Configuration The purpose of this procedure is to document the MCB drawer configuration by using the front panel configuration switches. To configure the drawer, we use 2 switches, the PSW button and the Configuration switch (CFG Switch).

Config Mode B has only one option, and it is to set all antenna boards to the state of an unconfigured number of baskets.
