IN THE STANDBY MODE
When you receive an instant message that is not part of an active conversation,
your phone beeps, and New instant message appears.
To view the message, select Read.
To reply, select Write, enter a message, and select Send.

Chat history

You can save your conversations, and view, rename, and delete your saved
conversations.
SAVE
1 From the conversation view, select Options > View conversations > Save.
2 Enter a name of 1–20 characters for the history, and select OK.
VIEW
From either the IM online or offline menu, select Saved convers. and the
conversation you want to view.
RENAME
1 From either the IM online or offline menu, select Saved convers., the
conversation you want to rename, and Options > Rename.
2 Select Clear as many times as necessary to delete the conversation name; then
enter the new conversation name of 1–20 characters.
3 Select OK.
DELETE
From either the IM online or offline menu, select Saved convers., the conversation
you want to delete, and Delete > OK.

End a conversation

While chatting with a contact, select Options > Quit convers.

• IM CONTACTS

Add the names of your friends and family (with whom you want to interact
frequently through IM) to the IM contact list. The IM contact list is separate from
the main contact list of your phone, but the two lists may contain some of the same
contacts.
