Nikon VR image stabilization technologies help you produce
blur-free images when shooting in low light or unsteady
conditions. Selected models are equipped with one of two types
of Optical VR. Lens Shift VR delivers sharp and steady images
effective for shooting and faster framing with the LCD, while
Image Sensor Shift VR moves the image sensor to accurately
compensate for camera shake. Other models offer Electronic
VR, which applies movement data to image-processing to turn
blurred images into beautifully clear results.

Face-priority AF

Whether photographing an individual portrait or a group of
friends, Face-priority AF helps ensure satisfyingly crisp results.
It automatically detects as many as 12 faces in the shot. Face-
priority AF automatically adjusts exposure
to achieve the right balance of brightness
on your subject's face and across the whole
picture. You simply press the shutter button
and enjoy shooting beautiful portraits.
Smile Mode
Smile Mode automatically releases the shutter when your subject
smiles to help you faithfully record that special moment. Some
models also include Blink Warning and/or Blink Proof. Blink Proof
shoots two pictures and automatically saves the one in which the
subject's eyes are wide open, while Blink Warning alerts you when
it suspects that
someone has
blinked.
