By using a 50mm to 40mm reducer you can plumb 40mm. CONDENSATION: Since the heat pump cools down the air from 4-5˚C, water may condense on the fins of the evaporator. -

Avoid the condition of no water or air entering the system, this will influence unit's performance and reliability.
