Preparing and Charging the Batteries

TransMount Image Transmission Transmitter adopts built-in battery. When using the transmitter for the first time, please fully charge the transmitter to activate the battery.
Charging method: Connect the transmitter to the adpater (not provided, 5V1A is recommended) with provided Micro USB cable. Plug the adapter into a power outlet to start charging. When the blue light indicator stops, the charging is completed.

It is recommended to fully charge the transmitter each time before use. If the battery level is too low, the performance will be affected.

Installation

Install on ZHIYUN Stabilizer and Connect Cables

1. To install the transmitter on WEEBILL-S, for example. Take out Transmitter Mounting Plate, two screws and the wrench. Install the plate to the bottom of Quick Release Mounting Plate (be aware of the direction). Use the wrench to fix the screws.
   
   
2. Slide the transmitter to the mounting plate. Push the transmitter towards the tilt axis motor and fix it with the safety lock. Rotate the antenna 270 degrees clockwise. The installation is completed.
   
   The antenna can only be rotated in one direction. The maximum rotation angle is 270 degrees. Please notice the rotation direction.
   

3. Connect the camera control port on the tilt axis and the Micro USB charging/communication port of transmitter with ZW-Micro-002 cable.
   
   This cable is for communication between stabilizer and transmitter. After connection, the stabilizer will automatically charge the transmitter, thus the runtime of stabilizer will be affected.
4. Connect the camera USB port and the camera control port of transmitter with corresponding camera control cable. Connect the camera HDMI port and HDMI input of transmitter with corresponding HDMI cable (not provided).
   
   1. Camera control cables should be plugged in Micro USB port of transmitter except for Sony camera control cable.
      
   2. Connect and disconnect the cables when the stabilizer and transmitter are turned off. The cables marked red in the above steps are for instructions. The actual color of all cables is black.
   3. Balance the stabilizer after installing the device. For balance and adjustment, please refer to the stabilizer user manual.

Install on Other Devices and Connect Cables

1. To install the transmitter on camera hotshoe, for example. Install the transmitter mounting plate (be aware of the direction) on hotshoe adapter (not provided). Tighten the screws.
   
   
2. Slide the transmitter to the mounting plate. Push the transmitter and fix it with the safety lock. Rotate the antenna 90 degrees anti-clockwise. The installation is completed.
   
   
3. Connect the camera control port of transmitter and camera USB port with corresponding camera control cable. Connect the camera HDMI port and HDMI input of transmitter with corresponding HDMI cable (not provided).
   

To charge the transmitter, you can connect the Micro USB charging/communication port with power bank and power adapter with provided Micro USB cable. Recommended power output: 5V1A.

How to Use

Indicators and Buttons

1. Power Button []

• Long press for 3 seconds to power on or off the transmitter.
• After power on, Press the button for five times to restore factory defaults.

2. Blue Light Indicator []

• Shines solid when charging
• Stops shining when fully charged

3. Green Light Indicator []

• Shines solid when turning on or WIFI is working normally.
• Blinks slow when WIFI is not ready.
• Blinks fast when turning off.

4. Red Light Indicator []

• Shines solid when no HDMI signal input after connecting HDMI cable.
• Blinks slow when the battery level is low, around 5%-20%.

Download APP

Scan the QR code (Android 5.0 and above, IOS 9.0 and above) or search "ZY Play" directly in the app store to download "ZY Play".

1. Paired with the APP "ZY Play" designed for TransMount Image Transmission Transmitter, it can provide you better use of various functions.
2. The ZHIYUN APP is subject to regular update withoutnotice.

Use with ZHIYUN stabilizer

1. To use with the transmitter on WEEBILL-S, for example. Power on the stabilizer and enter the menu. Select camera brand on "camera". Select "ccs". Power on the transmitter. Power on the camera. When the OLED screen on stabilizer shows the mark [ ], you can control the camera with the stabilizer control panel.
2. Open ZY Play APP. Select WEEBILL-S connection page. Tap "connect now". Select the corresponding bluetooth and connect. Tap "enter now".
3. After entering the interface, tap WIFI icon [ ]. Connect WIFI of the transmitter (default password: 12345678). Tap image transmission icon [ ] to live stream the image.

Use with Other Devices

1. Power on the transmitter and then the camera.
2. Open the WIFI settings on your phone. Select WIFI of the transmitter (default password: 12345678).
   Open ZY Play APP and select transmitter connection page.
3. After entering the interface, tap image transmission icon [] to live stream the image.

1. The WIFI name of transmitter can be found on the label underneath the transmitter: USER ID XXXX.
2. Image transmission feature is only available for cameras with HDMI output in P format, while not available for cameras with HDMI output in I format. The quality of image transmission depends on camera HDMI output. 1080p is recommended.
3. To use this feature on DSLR, turn on Live View of camera to ensure the HDMI output.
4. The transmitter can connect three external devices at the same time but only one device can control the transmitter and camera.

Firmware Update

Method 1: Update under carrier network.

1. Power on the transmitter. Turn on the carrier network on your phone.
2. Open WIFI settings on your phone. Connect the WIFI of transmitter (default password: 12345678). Open ZY Play APP and select transmitter connection page.
3. If firmware update notice prompts out on ZY APP, please tap. After successful update, the transmitter will automatically turn off.

This method is only available on some iOS phones which are allowed to browse web pages using carrier network even when the phone connects to the WIFI of transmitter.

Method 2: Update under WIFI.

1. Power on the transmitter.
2. Open WIFI settings on your phone. Connect the WIFI of transmitter (default password: 12345678). Open ZY Play APP and select transmitter connection page.
3. Open WIFI settings on your phone and connect WIFI. Open ZY Play again, if the firmware update notice prompts out, please tap and download.
4. After download, open WIFI settings and connect the WIFI of transmitter. Go back to ZY Play and tap update. After successful update the transmitter will automatically turn off.

Before firmware update, the battery level of transmitter should be above 50%. During update, do not exit the APP or let it run in background. Keep an eye on the notice.

Safe Operation Guidelines

1. The transmitter is a high-precision control device. Damage may be caused to the transmitter if it is dropped or subject to external force, and this may result in malfunction.
2. The transmitter is not waterproof. Prevent contacts of any kind of liquid or cleaner with the transmitter. It is recommended to use dry cloth for cleaning.
3. Protect the transmitter from dust and sand during use.

To avoid fire, serious injury, and property damage, observe the following safety guidelines when using, charging, or storing your batteries.

Battery Use
Please fully charge the transmitter before use every time.

Battery Charging
The battery will automatically stop charging once it is full. Please disconnect the battery and the charger when fully charged.

Battery Storage

1. If the transmitter is not used for over 10 days, please discharge the battery to 40%-65% before storage in order to extend the battery lifespan.
2. When the battery voltage is too low, the battery will enter low consumption mode. Charge the battery to exit low consumption mode.

Battery Maintenance

1. Do not over-charge or over-discharge the battery, which will damage the battery;
2. The battery performance will be affected for not being used for a long time;
3. Never use the battery when the temperature is too high or too low;
4. Fully charge and discharge the battery every three months to maintain the battery health.

Battery Disposal

1. Please fully discharge the battery before putting it in the designated recycling bin. Batteries contain hazardous constituents and it is forbidden to put the battery in general waste bin. For related details please abide by the local laws and regulations on battery recycling and disposal.
2. If the battery cannot be fully discharged, never put it in battery recycling bin. Please contact battery recycling companies for a proper solution.

Warranty Period

1. Customers are entitled to replacement or free repair service in case of quality defect(s) found in the product within 15 days upon receipt of the product.
2. Customers are entitled to free repair service from ZHIYUN for any product proven defective in material or workmanship that results in product failure during normal consumer usage and conditions within the valid warranty period, which is 12 months counting from the date of delivery.

This warranty does not apply to the followings

1. Products subjected to unauthorized repair, misuse, collision, neglect, mishandling, soaking, accident, and unauthorized alteration.
2. Products subjected to improper use or whose labels or security tags have been torn off or altered. 3. Products whose warranty has expired.

4. Products damaged due to force majeure, such as fire, flood, lightening, etc.
