  • Page 2 Route Distibution Cable Pay off the distribution cable from the reel (Figure 2). Route the distribution cable stub to its destination according to your installation plan and splice per standard company practices. Unpackaging the Unit Step 1: Pry out the tabs holding the reel’s cover (Figure 3) and set the cover aside.
  • Page 3 Mount the Unit Step 1: Attach the mounting plate (Figure 4) to the mounting surface using #8 hardware appropriate for the application. Use Del-Tec -type spacers if required for the application. ® Mounting Plate Step 2: If this terminal uses the optional skirt, locate the extension plate from the skirt kit.
  • Page 4 • For additional stability on flat surfaces, knock out the small oval-shaped openings in the extension plate and drive screws through the openings into the mounting surface using #8 hardware appropriate for the application. NOTE: If spacers were used behind the terminal base plate to allow for cable routing, install the same number of spacers behind the skirt extension plate.

Figure 8 Step 3: If necessary, field-connectorize the drop cable; then, insert the connectorized cable into the terminal through the port opening. Step 4: Remove the dust cap from the adapter where the connector will be installed and clean inside the adapter per standard company practices.
  • Page 6 Step 2: If using the optional skirt, drop cables can exit the skirt extension plate through the rear or through either conduit opening at the outer edge of the skirt cover as shown in Figure 10. Align the skirt cover with the ridge in the terminal and snap skirt cover into place around the cables.
