    Tools Required You will need to remove the vehicle navigation radio and/or color screen. See next page for Vehicle Disassembly Instructions. List of Required Tools: Example pictures of removal tools are shown. Any similar functioning removal tool will do the job. Plastic Panel Removal Tool 8 Millimeter Socket On a drill or manually by hand.

    Interface Installation Disassemble the vehicle to get access behind the Navigation/Radio and behind the screen if needed. Unplug the factory harnesses from the back. Plug the factory harnesses into the female ends of the supplied harnesses. Plug the male ends of the supplied harnesses back into the radio. Connect supplied harness plugs together if they have matching plugs and/or numbered labels.

    Testing and Settings Set Your Radio To AUX Plug in the supplied RCA Cable or AUX Plug into the vehicle’s AUX jack. If you were not supplied with these, your car is already equipped with AUX. Set the vehicle to AUX to hear sound from the interface. You will not hear sound from the interface if your vehicle is not set to AUX.
  • Page 9 Back Menu Voice NavTool Remote (If Supplied) Up- Go up inside Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Down- Go down inside Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. In Android Auto, down button is used to enter the bottom menu bar of Android Auto.
  • Page 10 Testing and Settings Camera Settings Configuration After activating the interface, you will be brought to the interface screen. If your screen looks like the image shown on the left, select home. The bottom menu bar will appear. If your screen looks like the image shown on the right, select Settings. Camera Settings Enter Camera Settings to set up your camera inputs.
  • Page 11 Testing and Settings Miscellaneous Settings Configuration Miscellaneous Settings Select the Settings Gear to make changes to Miscellaneous Interface Settings. You can turn ON or OFF Apple CarPlay/Android Auto (Auto On mode), the interface audio sound, and the manual activa- tion wire as reverse trigger. Apple CarPlay / Android Auto (Auto On Mode) Turn ON- if you want to immediately enter Apple CarPlay/ Android Auto when activating the interface.
  • Page 12 Testing and Settings Testing HDMI Input HDMI Selecting HDMI will bring you to the HDMI screen of the HDMI device you connected to the interface. If no HDMI device is connected, you will see a No Signal HDMI message. Testing Camera / Video Input Cameras / Video Input Selecting Camera Inputs will let you see your aftermarket cameras if installed.
  • Page 13 Testing and Settings Audio Settings Configuration (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on the bottom left of the interface menu bar. Audio Settings After Selecting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, you will be brought to this screen. Go to Settings and select Audio Settings Original MIC Original MIC Turn Original MIC ON- if your car is equipped with a factory microphone.
  • Page 14 Testing and Settings Connecting Your Phone to Apple CarPlay / Android Auto (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Disconnect your phone from the car’s factory bluetooth before connecting your phone to the interface. Go to the bluetooth settings of your phone and select Forget This Device. Make sure your phone’s wifi and bluetooth are on.
  • Page 15 Testing and Settings Testing Apple CarPlay / Android Auto (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Do a test call once your phone is connected to the interface. Confirm that your microphone is working and that you can hear audio from the interface. Your microphone will not work if you did not set the Original MIC setting properly.
  • Page 16 HDMI LED Data LED Power LED NavTool LED lights should be one blinking blue and two steady lit green LED lights. When performing vehicle reassembly, please make sure to go over the list and checkoff check mark boxes: Check to see if all connectors behind the screen, radio, HVAC etc. were reconnected.
  • Page 17 Interface Menus and Settings Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Selecting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto will bring you to the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto screen once connected. If you are using the HDMI only version of the interface, you won’t be able to use this feature and instead will see a Module Not Installed message. HDMI Selecting HDMI will bring you to the HDMI screen of the HDMI device you connected to the interface.
  • Page 18 Settings Selecting Settings will open a drop down menu bar that will let you change different interface settings. You can close this menu by selecting the down arrow. Brightness Selecting Brightness will let you change the interface brightness. Select multiple times to increase or decrease the brightness. Save or cancel your changes.
  • Page 19 Camera Settings Selecting Camera Settings will let you change your camera inputs. Select multiple times to rotate through the different input options. Above image shows a typical interface installation on a car with a factory rear view camera with no other cameras. Save any changes. Select Factory Camera- if your car has a factory camera.

You can turn ON or OFF Apple CarPlay/Android Auto (Auto On mode), the interface audio sound, and the manual activation wire as reverse trigger.   • Page 21 Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Settings Menu (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Selecting Apple CarPlay/Android Auto will bring you to the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto settings menu screen if no phone is connected or paired by bluetooth (see right image). Selecting Home will let you access the bottom interface menu bar (see left image). iOS- Apple CarPlay (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Selecting iOS will bring you to your Apple CarPlay screen once you connected your iPhone to Apple CarPlay.
  • Page 22 Apple CarPlay/Android Auto Settings (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Selecting Settings will let you access the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto settings. Select Home on the top left of the screen to go back. Audio Settings- Volume (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Selecting Audio Settings, you can change the volume.
  • Page 23 Audio Settings- EQ (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select EQ if you want to change the equalizer settings. You can select different categories you want your sound to be or individually change each bar. Audio Settings- Original MIC (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Turn Original MIC ON if your car is equipped with a factory microphone.
  • Page 24 Wireless CarPlay Settings (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select Wireless CarPlay Settings if you’re pairing an iPhone to Apple CarPlay. You can connect your phone by wire or by bluetooth if you have Wireless CarPlay Connection turned ON. Wireless CarPlay Settings- 2.4G/5G and Online Device List (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) You do not need to select 2.4G/5G and the Online Device List.
  • Page 25 Wireless CarPlay Settings- Paired Device List (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select Paired Device List if you want to remove a phone from the interface connection history. Wireless Android Auto Settings (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select Wireless Android Auto Settings if you are pairing an Android phone to Android Auto. You can connect your phone by wire or by bluetooth if you have Connection turned ON.
  • Page 26 Wireless Android Auto Settings- Clear Records (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select Clear Records if you want to erase all the bluetooth connection history from the interface. Wireless Android Auto Settings- BT Paired Device List (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select BT Paired Device List if you want to remove a device you connected to the interface.
  • Page 27 UI Settings- Driver Position (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select Driver Position if you want to change the driver position. This will adjust the Apple CarPlay/Android Auto interface screen layout to the driver position you are in. UI Settings- Wallpaper (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Select Wallpaper if you want to change the background image.

Information- Reset (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Selecting Reset will reset the settings you configured on the interface. Information- Factory Reset (Not Applicable for HDMI Only Interface) Selecting Factory Reset will reset the settings and erase all data stored on the interface.
