Move the airplane to the desired location. Brake the airplane with the wheel chocks. Place the wheel chocks in front and behind the main landing gear wheels or behind the one main landing gear wheel and in front the nose landing gear wheel.

The secondary source of electrical energy is the battery FG Forte 12150 (12 V / 15 Ah) that is located in the engine compartment on the firewall.

  • Page 50 ERTC022-10-AS MAINTENANCE MANUAL CAUTION THE BRAKE BODY IS SUSCEPTIBLE TO CORROSION ON THE INNER SURFACE. NEGLECTED CORROSION MAY CAUSE A FAILURE OF THE BRAKE FUNCTION OR EVEN A STRUCTURAL FAILURE OF THE BRAKE. Removal – brake Lift the airplane (Section 07-10). Drain the brake fluid (Section 12-10).
  • Page 51 ERTC022-10-AS MAINTENANCE MANUAL To the angular coupling (4, Fig. 32-14), connect the hose (9) with the inserted hollow rivet (10) by means of the swivel nut (11) and the sealing cone (12) Replenish brake fluid, bleed the brake circuit (Section 12-10) and do the function check and the leakage test.
  • Page 52 ERTC022-10-AS MAINTENANCE MANUAL Adjustment / test – brakes Depress and release the brakes several times (at least five times). Visually check the whole system of brakes for leakage – no penetration of brake fluid is allowed in the joints and at the brake cylinders. Park using the control lever of the parking brake and for a time of 15 minutes there mustn´t be any reduction of pressure.

Drain the brake fluid (Section 12-10). Unscrew the swivel nuts (8, Fig. 32-15). Disconnect the hoses (9) of the brake fluid line from the angular connections (12) and close the free ends by means of blind plugs.
