- Page 4 Operation Make sure that the voltage leading to the fan matches the level it is rated for. Plug in the fan. Turn its rotary knob clockwise until the fan activates at its highest speed. Continue turning the knob clockwise to decrease its rotational speed if desired. Turn the knob completely counterclockwise to turn off the fan.
