SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS: These service instructions are intended to be used by qualified
personnel at Authorized Enerpac Service Centers. Users of Enerpac Equipment should see
the torque wrench instruction sheet for operation and maintenance information.
Important: This guide shows how to completely tear down the torque wrench. The wrench should
be tested prior to service to help target possible problems. Please refer to the torque wrench test
procedure on page 3 and troubleshooting guide on page 4.
YOU MAY NEED:
* Test bench
* Spanner wrench
* Soft blow hammer
* Metric allen wrench set
DISASSEMBLY
1. Remove E-clip (item 2.17) from Connecting Bolt
(item 1.7).
2. Remove Cap (item 1.2) from the Swivel Housing
(item 1.6).
3. Remove Swivel Housing (item 1.6), by clamping
the housing in a soft jaw vise and pulling up on
the wrench. Warning: ( Be careful not to pull
towards your body).
Note: If you are unable to pull the Swivel Housing
free, you may need to use a small mechanical
puller to remove the housing by using the
Connecting Bolt (item 1.7) as the center point.
4. Remove the Snap catch (item 2.1) and the
compression spring without losing the spring.
5. Loosen the two Button Head Screws from the
top of the Wrench Housing (item 2.6).
6. To remove the Connecting Bolt (item 1.7) follow
the procedure below.
A. Loosen the set screw using an allen wrench.
B. Remove the Connecting Bolt (item 1.7),
from the Wrench Housing (item 2.6) using a
slim box wrench. (See Special Tools,
Figure 2.)

Note: Dimensions for the wrench needed are in
the back of this instruction sheet.
7. Remove the five o-rings from the Connecting
Bolt (item 1.7) using a brass pick.
8. Remove the Stop Ring (item 2.13) using a
spanner wrench.
9. Remove the two Button Head Screws on the
Protection Plate (item 2.3) using an allen wrench.
Remove plate from wrench.
10. Remove the Cap Screw from the Ratchet Lever
(item 3.8), using an allen wrench.
11. Push the Ratchet Lever (item 3.8) into the
wrench and then pull the lever back out to make
clearance between the Ratchet Lever (item 3.8)
and the Piston assembly. Remove the Ratchet
Lever (item 3.8) by pulling it up and out of the
front of the wrench.
12. Remove the Ratchet Block (item 3.2) and two
springs from the Ratchet Lever (item 3.8) by
pushing to either side. Take care not to lose the
springs.
13. Remove the Cap Screw from the Piston Bottom
(item 2.12). Use a pliers to hold the Compression
Member (2.9) in. Take care not to damage it with
the pliers.
