To reset the password on an Arris SURFboard SBG6782-AC:
1. Open a web browser on your computer. 2. Type `192.168.0.1` in the address bar and press Enter. 3. Log in using your current username and password (default if not changed). 4. Navigate to the password settings section. 5. Enter your new password. 6. Ensure "No" is selected for Restore Factory Defaults. 7. Click Apply to update the password.
If you forget the password, perform a factory reset:
1. Locate the Reset button on the rear of the gateway. 2. Use a paper clip or similar object to press and hold the button for 10 seconds or until the front panel LEDs flash. 3. This resets the device to factory defaults, restoring the default username and password.
