Remove the retaining screws as shown below using 1.5mm Hex Allen. Once all retaining screws (AER0054-00) are removed from the air bearing and thrust plate, remove air bearing (A14779- 00), spacer ring, and thrust plate (A14781-00) from the shaft carefully.

    MAINTENANCE Return To Contents REBUILD PROCEDURES Reassembly of the turbine motor - Spacer to bearing alignment requirements Make sure to align spacer to corresponding holes on bearing (A14779-00) as shown. If not in correct alignment, there will be no bearing air passing through bearings to support the shaft.
  • Page 17 MAINTENANCE Return To Contents Installation of the eight (8) SHCS to retain air bearing assembly Insert the eight (8) stainless steel screws into the bearing assembly as shown. Snug the screws in alternating pattern to draw the bearings together in an even fashion. Torque screws to 5-6 lbs.-in.
