MANUAL XENTRY DIAGNOSTICS FOR INDEPENDENT WORKSHOPS

3 New compulsory login procedure

Our new security concept secures access to and use of the XENTRY Diagnosis software in two stages:
Level 1: Since release 03/2021 you have to log in with your personal user ID and password.
Stage 2: From March 15, 2022, you will also need the standard diagnostic role.
You can apply for this via the UMAS platform.
Prerequisite: You have successfully completed the identification procedure. You can also start this via UMAS,
unless a local identification procedure is used in your store.
You will get your role via the dedicated button on the platform. In principle, you only have to go through the
identification process via UMAS/IDnow once.
With Release 06/2020, a strict safety concept for validating the diagnosis access and the backend services was
implemented. Since then, a personalized login has been required for the passenger car model series 213 facelift
2020 and 223.
As of Release 03/2021, this safety level will be extended to all brands and categories, i.e. All diagnosis users
must log in personally to the diagnostic unit. Thus, anonymous access to vehicles and backend services is no
longer possible.
As of Release 15/03/2022, you generally need the standard diagnosis role for diagnostic activities. The new
extended XENTRY Flash role is necessary for the control unit commissioning from series 213 model upgrade
2020 and 223.
The standard diagnosis role is assigned as follows:
1. XENTRY standard diagnosis rights:
Every diagnosis user must independently apply for the standard diagnosis role via
benz.com/umas
and perform the one-time identification.
If you do not have a user ID as an independent service provider (independent workshop), you can apply for it via
the following link: https://umas.mercedes-benz.com/orgprocess/.
Please select the button "New registration" if you are not yet registered as a Mercedes-Benz customer.
Alternatively, you choose "Registered organization" if your organization is a registered customer, but you do not
have a user ID yet.
Please contact your local IT administrator. Alternatively, you can contact Support via the support button
the far right of the UMAS page (headset icon).
2. XENTRY Flash Rights:
