Intended use

The device serves for replaying of external audio sources. External audio sources are played, among others, via a Bluetooth® function.

The device must only be installed in dry indoor rooms.

The device may only be installed in flush-mounted device boxes according to DIN 49073-1.

Device description

The device is a flush-mounted Bluetooth receiver with an integrated amplifier. The device operates either as independent amplifier or as part of the Busch-AudioWorld® system.

Connection

  1. A multimedia device is connected via Bluetooth®. Loudspeakers are connected via the internal amplifier.

Mounting

The device can sustain damage when coming into contact with hard objects!
The plastic parts of the device are sensitive.

Status LED

Bluetooth ®
Blue, lit up permanently: A multimedia device is connected.
Blue, flashing slowly:
  • The multimedia device connected last is being searched for
  • The connection is cut.
Blue, flashing fast: A new multimedia device can be coupled.
AUX
Green: AUX is selected.

Bluetooth® operation

This function must be activated on your device for the coupling and connecting process.

Pairing a multimedia device for the first time (new devices or after a reset):

  1. Switch the Busch-BTR on [1].
  • The Busch-BTR is ready for coupling a multimedia device.
    The status LED [4] flashes rapidly.
  1. Connect the Bluetooth-capable device to the Busch-BTR.
  • Navigate in the multimedia device into the Bluetooth settings.
    • Depending on the multimedia device, the available Bluetooth devices will be displayed automatically. If not, allow the multimedia device to search for them.
  • Select the Busch-BTR that is displayed and couple and connect the devices.
  • The coupling is always established starting from the multimedia device. A coupling cannot be established from the Busch-BTR.
  1. Play the music you have selected on the multimedia device.
  • The Busch-BTR plays the selected music.

A multimedia device has already been coupled.

  1. Switch the Busch-BTR on [1].
  • The Busch-BTR is searches for the multimedia device connected last. The status LED [4] flashes slowly. If none is found, the Busch-BTR searches for the next multimedia device in the list.
  • If the status LED [4] lights up permanently, the Busch-BTR is connected.
  1. Play the music you have selected on the multimedia device.
  • The Busch-BTR plays the selected music.

Adding an additional multimedia device:

  1. Press the BT/AUX button [5] for at least 0.3 seconds.
  • The status LED [4] flashes rapidly.
  1. Couple the new multimedia device in the same manner as described under "Coupling a multimedia device for the first time".
  • The Busch-BTR stores up to 8 multimedia devices. If a new one is added, the one with the least number of connections is deleted from the list.

AUX operation

  1. Switch the Busch-BTR on [1].
  2. Switch the Busch-BTR over to the AUX replay [5].
  • The status LED [4] must light up green.
  • The Busch-BTR plays the audio data of the external source.
  • AUX data are played only in MONO (total signal (L+R)).

Reset / deleting a stored list

  1. Press down the entire control element for at least 3 seconds.

Information about Bluetooth operation

  • Depending on the model, the loudspeakers on the multimedia device for playing music have been deactivated while it is connected to the Busch-BTR.
  • After connection, the volume of the Busch-BTR is additionally controlled via the volume control of your multimedia device.
    • If you deactivate the volume or turn it down, you will not hear anything on the Busch-BTR.
  • Coupling devices:
    • The devices are "joined" together. Each one of the other devices is stored in a list. Only the stored devices can establish a connection.
  • Connecting devices:
    • The coupled devices are connected and exchange data.
  • Time out:
    • The connection is automatically disconnected after 5 minutes without any connection data. After leaving the house, for example.

Rectification of problems for Bluetooth operation

If the status LED on the Busch-BTR lights up permanently blue, the multimedia device is connected.

  • Nothing can be heard on the Busch-BTR.
  • The multimedia device is switched off.
  • The mute function on the multimedia device has been activated.
  • The volume on the multimedia device has been turned down to "Zero".
  • The player software on the multimedia device in pause mode.
  • This could be the case especially after the connection has been temporarily disrupted.
  • The connection was disrupted for more than 5 minutes. The connection is no longer maintained after five minutes.
  • In this case the Busch-BTR switches off.
  • You are at the boundary of the transmission range. While the signal is still strong enough to maintain the connection, it is too weak to transmit sufficient data for playing music.
  • The multimedia device cannot be connected, even though the Busch-BTR is displayed in the Bluetooth settings.
  • A different multimedia device is already connected to the Busch-BTR.
  • Disconnect the connected multimedia device. E.g. by deactivating the Bluetooth® function on the multimedia device or as described in "Adding an additional multimedia device".
