MAINTENANCE

Changing the battery

When the battery level is low, the screen will fl ash slowly about once every 2 seconds. If the fl ashing is continuous then the battery is below the minimum level and should be replaced. Undo the back cover of the device by undoing the securing screws in the corner of the backplate. Remove the battery from the battery holder and replace with a long life, low drain 1.5v Alkaline battery. Replace the backplate and tighten all the corner securing screws.

Replacing the 22 mm Adaptor seal

There is an O-ring seal in the 22 mm Adaptor that prevents the leakage of gas from the anaesthetic circuit. If this seal becomes damaged or is lost it must be replaced. Use a small screwdriver to ease out the old seal and then press the new seal into place. New seals can be obtained from EICKEMEYER® under Replacement Part number E21319501.

TROUBLESHOOTING
