Operator’s Manual SAFETY REGULATIONS AND ACCIDENT-PREVENTION MEASURES For correct use of the machine, an exact observance of the rules that are listed here and the strict application of all the precautions to prevent possible dangerous situations must be followed to avoid the danger of accident, make the machine work better and reduce technical damages to a minimum.

Operator’s Manual ► The manufacturer isn’t liable for any unpredictable inappropriate use which can cause a potential danger. ► The signs on the machine give an important series of indications: respecting them is essential for your safety. ► Make sure that all the safety labels are clear. Clean them and in case they are damaged replace them with new ones.
Operator’s Manual SAFETY LABELS Make sure the safety labels are in good conditions. If they are deteriorated, they must be replaced with other original ones, which must be requested from the manufacturer. Place them in the right position as shown in the use and maintenance manual.

Operator’s Manual 3 MOVEMENT AND TRANSPORT Pay the highest attention to safety during loading and unloading operations (slingers, forklift drivers, etc). In case of machine lifting it is compulsory to use the specially provided lifting points shown in the labels (POINT 10), using chains and belts admitted by law. CAUTION: consult the table of weights that you can find in the manual.

Operator’s Manual TRANSIT ON PUBLIC ROAD In case you have to travel on a public road, you must cpmply with the highway code, paying particular attention to the speed limits. Operator’s Manual 4 WORKING THE MACHINE Make sure that all the parts of the machine are working whilst in operation. Remember that most problems and troubles that may occur during the use of the machine and are caused by the loosening of the fastened parts. - During the first phase of the life for the machine, there is a general adjustment of all the mechanic parts.
Operator’s Manual Very important! Check the woody material that has to be chipped and make sure that there are no nails, ropes or any kind of metal objects that may get into the machine during the chipping process. MACHINE CONTROLS All the controls have signals that explain their function.

Operator’s Manual REGULATIONS The machine does not need any kind of adjustment. We only advise performing a careful inspection of the branches and the logs to be inserted into the machine for chipping. Their maximum diameter must be 155/175 mm, depending on the type of model.

REGULATION OR REPLACEMENT OF THE TRANSMISSION BELT Place the machine on a flat ground with the head on the ground. The motor must be off, the hand brake pulled, the PTO disconnected and the ignition key off the dashboard.

Operator’s Manual DEPLOYMENT OF THE MACHINE Before using the machine, you need to get used to its controls and its capability of work. IT IS COMPULSORY TO CONNECT THE MACHINE TO THE TRACTOR BEFORE EVERY USE. Before getting off the tractor to operate, maintain or adjust, you need to pull the handbrake, turn the motor off, take the ignition key out of the dashboard and wait for all the moving parts to stop.
Operator’s Manual STARTING THE MACHINE Before connecting the machine you need to get used to its controls and its capabilities of work. During the phases of use, adjustment, maintenance, repair or movement, the operator must use the appropriate individual protections. Before starting to work, make sure that no people or animals are present within a 13 meters radius from the machine.

Operator’s Manual THE DANGER OF A BLOCK IN THE WOODCHIPPER DURING OPERATION 6.2 IN CASE THE CHIPPER GETS BLOCKED During operation, it is possible to insert a trunk of a diameter higher than the working capacity of the machine, or introduce a foreign body that blocks the rotation of the flywheel.
Operator’s Manual MAINTENANCE In case of failure, the operator must turn off the machine, remove the ignition key, get off the tractor and determine the problem. Then carry out any work on the machine. Remember maintenance must be done by a qualified and trained person; it is advised that this is done indoors.
