Linking the App and DC Heated Mattress Pad
Preparations before Connect DC Heated Mattress Pad
• Activate Bluetooth on your smartphone.
• If two or more DC Heated Mattress Pads are found, check the 3-digit number on the con-
troller screen and select a product that includes the number.
Sign up for Membership and Register the Product
① Run the Navien Mate App on your phone, and then, select [Wi-Fi Device] to go to the
connection screen.
② Select [Membership] at the bottom of the screen to create a Navien Mate account. An ID is
required for remote control through the App.
If you have an existing account, log in with it.
③ Select the DC Heated Mattress Pad model you want to register (EME501).
④ Turn ON the Wi-Fi of the controller. If the jog button is pressed for more than 5 seconds
while the power of the controller is turned OFF, then smart device connection is possible
and
blinks on the display window.
⑤ Follow the on-screen instructions to register your device.
1) A device to connect to is automatically selected.
※ If multiple devices that can be connected are found nearby, select the network with
the 3-digit number on the controller screen.
2) Select a router to connect to.
※ Only 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi routers are compatible.
3) Enter the device name.
⑥ Device registration is complete when the controller display number goes up to 99.
Remote control is possible by selecting the registered DC Heated Mattress Pad on the
screen.
Notes
• The channels available for wireless connection are channels 1 to 13. Only 2.4 GHz band is
compatible and, 5 GHz band is not supported.
• IEEE 802.11 b/g/n communication protocol is supported. The authentication methods
supported for wired and wireless routers are OPEN, WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK. We
recommend using WPA-PSK (TKIP) or WPA2-PSK. When using encryption, the WEP authen-
tication method is not recommended because it is vulnerable in terms of security.
Connections compatible with the new Wi-Fi authentication specifications and non-stand-
ard Wi-Fi authentication methods are not recommended.
• If the router SSID or password contains some special characters (%, ", , (comma), \, |), the
connection may fail.
