Cabling and Connection The DXE-218 is capable of HDMI 2.0 which requires proper 18Gbps HDMI cables to work properly. Always make certain to use HDMI cables rated for 2.0 18Gbps especially for the length of the cable selected. If active cables are used make certain to put the transmitter side on the HDMI output(s). - Page 9 USERS GUIDE used, there will be no video present on the 1080p destination. Page 14: Firmware Update
DXE-218 Windows tool. The software tool will allow control of the DXE-218, EDID downloads from the outputs, firmware updates, and UART IP Settings. Make certain to connect to the unit first by selecting System at the top left and click connect. Factory reset is also under system. - Page 15 EDID function for the common denominator. The Firmware Update tab is to upload the latest updates into the DXE-218. There are 4 different firmware types that can be uploaded. Depending on which one will determine the section that applies for the upload. The firmware has a description when you select in the file name of what function of the unit it impacts.
