4.2.5 Cabling
All cabling must be suitable for use in hazardous zones.
Cabling should be rated for use up to +65°C (150°F) at least to allow for an ambient temperature of up to +50°C
(120°F). Cables supplied by Goyen | Mecair meet these requirements.
The power-supply cord shall be not lighter than a light PVC-sheathed flexible cord according to IEC 60227
(designation H03 VV-F or H03 VV H2-F).
The conductor area shall be no less than 0.75 mm².
For special instructions and requirements relating to the installation of sensors in hazardous zones refer to the
Sensor Safety Description on page 4 and to the Sensor Installation section on page 9.
