INSTALLATION INSTALLATION
This light fitting must be installed by a competent person in accordance with
current building and wiring regulations.
As the buyer, installer and/or user of this product it is your own responsibility
to ensure that this fitting is fit for the purpose for which you have intended it.
GJD cannot accept any liability for loss, damage or premature failure resulting
from inappropriate use.
If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
Switch off the mains before commencing installation and remove the
appropriate circuit fuse or lock off MCB.
This floodlight is suitable for both indoor and outdoor lighting applications, it
has an IP rating of IP65. This means that it is dust tight and will prevent the
ingress of water from water jets.
Do not use in areas where an explosive or chemical atmosphere may exist.
Do not use in areas where ventilation is restricted. Ensure that there is space
around the floodlight to allow adequate circulation of air
The floodlight must be positioned so that there is at least 0.5m (500mm)
between the front of the floodlight and the surface to be illuminated.
It should be placed away from any flammable materials.
Before drilling any fixing holes, check that there are no hidden obstructions
behind the mounting surface such as pipes or cables.
The minimum recommended height for installation of the floodlight is 3
metres.

Before starting installation, please read these instructions carefully. Failure to
follow them could lead to risk of injury or electrical shock. Please retain them
for your future reference.
SAFETY NOTES
• LED lamps are extremely bright. To avoid possible damage to the eyes,
do not stare into an LED beam.
• In use, avoid touching any external surface of the floodlight, due to the
possibility of high temperatures.
• The floodlight is suitable for connection to 100-240V 50/60Hz.
• If the mains cord lead of this floodlight is damaged, it shall be replaced
by the manufacturer or the service agent or a similar qualified person to
avoid a hazard.
• The floodlight is suitable for use in an ambient temperature of between
-25˚C and +50˚C.
• The floodlight can under no circumstance be mounted on normally
flammable surfaces.
INSTALLATION - CONTINUED
Check that you have all the tools that you need.
1. Check that the floodlight and its mains lead are not damaged. If there is
any damage, return it to the place where you purchased it. Do not attempt to
repair it yourself.
2. Choose your location to fix the floodlight, taking into account the comments
above.
3. Use the floodlight bracket to mark the position of the fixing holes.
4. Drill the fixing holes and fix the floodlight into position using suitable screws
and wall plugs.
5. Check that it is securely fixed.
6. Terminate loose ends of wire to an appropriate IP rated junction box or
similar, ensuring the Live, Earth and Neutral polarities are observed.
7. Restore power and test the floodlight.
8. Adjust the angle of the floodlight so that it illuminates the required area. The
floodlight has a beam angle of 60°.Tighten the floodlight using the bolts on the
brackets.
