Product usage Before first use • Clean the unit before first use ( CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE). • Do not place the unit on a hot surface such as a stove. • The unit may give off a little smoke or a slight odour on the first use. This is normal for new units and will wear off with regular use. - Page 18 Product usage NOTE: • During use, the indicator light will switch between red and green as the unit maintains the set temperature level. • Wait until the indicator light turns green before you start making the crepes / galettes / pancakes / blinis. Before you make each crepe / galette / pancake / blini, apply a small amount of oil or butter onto the hotplate using a heat-resistant basting brush.
