Height of Cut Height of cut is controlled by varying the amount of ram stops down over the ram rod. Start with 6 ram stops on all rams. Cutting height can be in- or decreased by adding or reducing the amount of stops. Attention.

Transport Both centre axle rams must have all the stops down. Both wing axle rams must have all the stops out. When the stops are in the correct position lower the machine and keep pressurizing the rams until both the wings rams are fully closed to give a safe and narrow transport.

Hitching to the Tractor Low drawbar When attached to the low drawbar of the tractor always use the parallel linkage bar attached to the lower hole on the hitch plate. High drawbar When using the high drawbar it may not be possible to use the parallel linkage, as when the machine is full raised the PTO shaft may hit the hitch.

Leveling the Machine When the machine is fitted to the tractor and set at working height, the front of the skid should be in same height as at the rear of the skid. To raise the front of the skid shorten the adjustable link that is attached to the rear axle.

Slip Clutch Settings ( Walterscheid ) Spring Height 1. Check the condition of the friction discs before use and following periods of storage. Release the tension from the spring, turn the clutch while holding the P.T.O stationary. Or slip it using the tractor for it.
