Safety interlock operating instructions
Clutch/brake
pedal switch
Each machine has 2 interlock switches for safe starting and a switch which
shuts off the engine when the driver rises from the seat.
The clutch/brake pedal must be depressed and the cutter engaging lever
disengaged before the engine will start.
If the engine will not start, check that the cutting head engaging lever
is
disengaged (vertical position) and the clutch/brake pedal
depressed.
The safety
interlock
system must be tested each time the machine is used.
To test operation, the following functions must be
observed.
If not,
immediate repairs must be perfomed by an authorised dealer for your
protection.
Engine will not start if either:
1. Seat is not occupied; or
2. Clutch/brake pedal is not depressed; or
3. Cutter head engaging lever is engaged.
Test each of the switches separately. With the engine running, rise off the
seat. The engine should immediately stop.
