GETTING STARTED.

5.1

Initial Settings.

− Connect the data logger to the power source, power up
the power source and wait for software loading (boot).
− The first time the data logger is connected, the General
configuration page (Fig. 8.1) appears, which requires
the user to enter the plant parameters before using the
data logger. Fields marked with asterisk are required
(see par. 8.1).
− During subsequent use, the Home page appears
(Fig. 6.1).
5.2

Create, edit weldment.

From the home page (Fig. 6.1):
− tap the Quality Control to access the feature. Data tab
appears (Fig. 7.1), with the available machines list;
− tap Setup, you access the page with the weldment data
sheets list, stored in the data logger (Fig. 7.2.1.a);
− tap Create new, you enter the page of creation of new
weldment data sheet (Fig. 7.2.2.a). Fill in the necessary
fields for process identification (fields marked with aster-
isk are required), then tap Save to store. In the same page
appears the Receive key, before absent;
− tap Receive, the data logger load from the power source
the jobs saved and the same page is completed with other
keys (Fig. 7.2.2.b) (note that currently the Jobs can only be
created from the power source control panel);
− View job detail, (Fig. 7.2.2.c) to visualize the job com-
posing the weldment data sheet (Fig. 7.2.3);
and
to select a job;
to delete the selected job;
to modify the selected job.
In the latter case you access the pages:
− Process, (Fig. 7.2.4) for changing the job parameters;
− Quality, (Fig. 7.2.5.a) for changing the Quality Control
parameters;
− WPS, for changing the WPS procedure.
Made the changes, tap Save to save or Cancel to delete,
then tap Back to return to the job displaying page (Fig.
7.2.3), tap Back to return the weldment data sheet page
(Fig. 7.2.2.b).
Tap:
− Send, to save the on display weldment data sheet and
send it to the power source, where the jobs will be over-
written;
− Start, to do the same operation and preparing the
Quality Control in ready state, waiting for welding data
from power source. The green Start key turns into the red
Stop one.
Tap Stop to stop data acquisition.

Viewing recorded data.
From home page (Fig. 6.1) tap Quality Control or from
any other page tap:
− Data, to access the machines available list (Fig. 7.3.1);
to visualize the list of weldments realized with
the selected machine (Fig. 7.3.2);
to visualize the Job Report (Fig. 7.3.4) with the
measured values relating to the pair "Seam - Section" of
the selected weldment;
and
to scroll through the pair "Seam - Section"
of the weldment;
− Job n detail, to visualize the job parameters with which
it was awarded the selected "Seam - Section" (Fig. 7.3.5).
5.4

Export data.

Insert a memory stick in the CN14 connector.
5.4.1

Job Report.

In the Job Report page (Fig. 7.3.4) tap Export key.
The report with the data of the pair selected "Seam - Sec-
tion" is exported, in .pdf format, on USB memory stick.
A temporary message announces the operation.
5.4.2

Weldments / Weldment data sheets.

In the page with the available machines list (Fig. 7.3.1) or
the one with the weldments list (Fig. 7.3.2), tap:
in the line of the machine / weldment you want
to export the acquired data. In the first case the exported
report will be referred to all the weldments carried out by
the selected machine, in the second case to the only select-
ed weldment. Export data page appears (Fig. 7.3.3), with
the name of the file in .csv format, containing the request-
ed data, which will be exported to the USB memory stick;
− Save to USB, a temporary message announces the
export operation. Once passed the message into the USB
memory stick is available the .csv file with the exported
data.
− Insert the USB memory stick containing the .csv file,
into the USB port of the PC.
− Open the .csv file using a spreadsheet software (like
Microsoft Excel) by selecting the " , " (comma) character
as a separator (In Excel 2013: menu Data, From text, se-
lect the .csv file, Import).
