Appendix B Technical specifications for various OTDR standard modules
Tools for cleaning the optical output port and connector
Use such tools as the fiber cleaner and cleaning rod to clean the optical output port and
connector.
Otherwise, prepare as follows:
A cotton bud doped in isopropyl alcohol.
Steps for cleaning the optical output port and connector
Cut off the power supply of the instrument.
Unscrew the flange cap completely.
Pull out the flange slowly.
Clean the end face of the optical output connector and the flange connector with the a cotton
bud doped in isopropyl alcohol.
After that, put the flange slightly into the optical output port, and tighten the flange cap.
