CAUTION
Driver Attention Warning may not prop-
erly operate with limited alerting in the
following situations:

僅 The vehicle is violently driven or is
abruptly turned for obstacle avoid-
ance (e.g. construction area, other
vehicles, fallen objects, bumpy road).

severely undermined (possibly due to
wide variation in tyre pressures,
uneven tyre wear-out, toe-in/toe-out
alignment).
僅 The vehicle drives on a curvy road.
僅 The vehicle drives on a bumpy road.
僅 The vehicle drives through a windy
area.
CAUTION
Playing the vehicle audio system at high
volume may offset Driver Attention
Warning warning sounds.
Leading Vehicle Departure Alert
This reminds the driver the leading vehi-
cle's driving departure after stopping.
Function setting
With the vehicle ON, Leading Vehicle
Departure Alert function turns on and
gets ready to be activated when the
selecting "User Settings → Driver Assis-
tance → Driver Attention Warning →
Leading Vehicle Departure Alert". The
function stops operation when the set-
ting is deactivated. However, if the vehi-
cle is turned off then on again, the
function maintains the previous state.

Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
Operating conditions
If the driver does not take action for a
certain period of time after the vehicle in
front departs, the message is displayed
on the cluster with a warning sound.
WARNING
僅 The function is a driver assistant
device and it may not warn the driver
even after the leading vehicle's depar-
ture.
僅 Even the function alert the driver the
leading vehicle's departure, always
check the traffic condition by yourself
before moving the vehicle.
CAUTION
僅 Leading Vehicle Departure Alert func-
tion utilizes the front view camera on
the front windscreen for its operation.
To keep the front view camera in the
best condition.For more information
of front view camera, refer to "Lane
Keeping Assist (LKA) (if equipped)" on
page 6-60.
僅 The function may not operate for 15
seconds after the engine is started or
the front view camera is initialized.
NOTICE
The function may not warn or may not
work properly when:
僅 A pedestrian or a bicycle is ahead
僅 A car cut in ahead.
僅 Meet a traffic jam during the curve or
right turn driving.
僅 Busy road such as reducing lanes.
僅 Stopping at a shoulder, rest area or a
parking lot.
僅 If the vehicle head makes a sudden
start or the U-turn.
