Start-up
1. Dispose of the packaging materials carefully or store it in a safe
place. There is danger of suffocation for small children!
2. Find a suitable location with direct sunlight. Depress the ON/OFF
button.
3. Place the article in such a way that the solar panel is exposed to
direct sunlight. Make sure that direct sunlight shines on the solar
module for at least 8 hours a day in order to charge the built-in
battery. Before first use, the battery should be charged for one
full day by direct sunlight shining on the solar panel.
The solar figure holds a small lantern in his left hand. At nightfall,
the light will start shining. During the day, the light will switch off
automatically.

Troubleshooting

If the light of the lantern does not light up after several sunny days
with direct sunlight, please check the following possible causes for
the defect:
Make sure the article is switched on (ON/OFF button is
depressed).
Foreign light sources (street lamps, automobile headlights, etc.)
may temporarily switch off the light.
The solar module is dirty. Carefully clean it with a cloth.
The rechargeable battery is defective. To replace the battery,
remove the 4 screws of the battery compartment lid. Insert a new
battery. Pay attention to the proper polarity. Close the battery
compartment.
