Ratchet straps help to ensure proper placement
of the forward crossbar, adequate tightening of
u-brackets on the forward crossbar, and to prevent
forward slipping of the forward crossbar.

Excessive speed and/or sudden stops
may cause the load to shift of sway
resulting in an unbalanced condition—this
may cause the load to slide off of the
forklift or cause the forklift to tip:
e Maintain a slow and steady speed.
e Avoid sudden stops and obstructions
e Work in teams, from a safe distance,
to ensure transport lanes are free from
obstruction and pedestrians.

INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

CAUTION:
To prevent personal injury, only qualified
personnel shall perform inspections of the EL-53080:
● Before each use, an approved inspector must inspect
the EL-53080 and associated hardware for bends, cracks,
or other damages. If damage is found, discontinue use.
● Replace a damaged EL-53080, or associated hardware,
only with the carefully tested and GM selected parts called
out in the Parts List of this document (see page 1)
DISPOSAL
At the end of its useful life, dispose of this device
according to federal, state, and local regulations
