    1. Basic Installation 1.1   U SB   C onnection   The unit has two USB ports – one on the front and one on the back. Either port can be used to connect a mouse, flash memory stick, USB optical drive, or other supported USB device. 1.2  ...

    2. Startup Plug in the included power supply and turn on the power switch on the rear panel of the unit. The power indicator light will illuminate to show that the unit is on. When startup completes, the unit will beep and default to the video display that was selected prior to its last shutdown.

    MTU: Configure the maximum transmission unit that can be used in a single network transaction. The default MTU is 1500. Mobile Port: Input the NVR mobile port number. The default port is 5800. HTTP Port: Input the NVR HTTP port number. The default port is 80. HS Download: Enable for high-speed downloads.

    Search: Search the local area network (LAN) for any connected IP cameras. Note: the NVR and IP cameras must be on the same network segment to establish a connection (e.g., if the NVR IP address is 192.168.1.X, it can connect IP cameras with IP addresses of 192.168.1.Y, Z, etc.). Add: Select a desired IP camera and click to add the IPC to the NVR.

This shows all the cameras found on the LAN. Protocol: Narrow down the list by filtering it against a protocol selected in the dropdown box.

Select Pattern from the Function list and enter an identifying number for it in the Pattern box. Click [Begin] to open the PTZ Control Menu, Page 1 and use the normal controls to steer the camera.

Times containing valid recordings within the period specified will be shown in a timeline at the bottom of the screen.
  • Page 21 Playing Back a Recording Click the relevant timeline at the desired point, double click the file in the list which you want to play, or click the play icon to start playback. Where more than one recording is available, select to play back all channels synchronously.

The time boxes and associated tick boxes are used to set the period within the selected day of the week during which alarm detection on the selected channel is enabled. To select a day, left click on the “Week” box arrow and scroll to the desired day.

    7. Smartphone Monitoring The NVR can be monitored and controlled remotely with a smartphone or tablet by using a “P2P” or “Cloud Services” app called RView. Both Android and iPhone versions are available. Although the guide is written with reference to the Android version, the equivalent iPhone screen is shown to the right of the Android screen where possible.
