These Parts - would require your actions to JOIN / CONNECT, to become Components. The Components will then be ASSEMBLED to form the Pergola.

    MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS: It is recommended that you conduct a Routine Maintenance Check as below: Check all Nuts and Bolts once every 3 month after Installation and tighten as required. Note: Don’t overtight, which may lead to cracking of wood. Inspect the wood parts monthly. Check for any sharp edges, lift in grains or splinters. If found, a light sanding is necessary, followed by the application of sealant.

  • Page 13 Step 2 Upper Here in Step 2, is a single-man job, in the assembly of the Foot Base to the Pillar. There are a total of 3 Screws to be affixed per Foot Base (A2). Keeping the Pillar in the same propped position from picture above, proceed to attach the Foot Base ( A2 ). For ease of assembly, place a box or an object to prop up the Pillar, as shown above.
  • Page 14 Step 3 Here in Step 3, will require your adult partners and you to connect 02 ( two ) pcs of Joists together to form the Face 1 - Inner Joist. There are a total of 6 Bolts and 6 Sleeve Nuts to connect and "sandwich" the 2 (two) Second Inner Joists. 2 ( two) pcs of SECOND INNER JOISTS (B4) are to be connected together.

There are a total of 6 Bolts and 6 Sleeve Nuts to connect and "sandwich" the 2 (two) First - Inner Joist. 2 ( two) pcs of FIRST INNER JOIST (B2) are to be connected together.

There are a total of 6 Bolts and 6 Sleeve Nuts to connect and "sandwich" the 2 (two) First Outer Joists. 2 ( two) pcs of FIRST OUTER JOIST (B1) are to be connected together.

There are a total of 4 Bolts and 4 Sleeve Nuts to connect and "sandwich" the 2 (two) Roof Lock Slats. 2 ( two) pcs of ROOF LOCK SLATS (C1) are to be connected together.
  • Page 20 Step 9 Here in Step 9, is the attachment of 2 (two) pcs of Angle Brace to the Outer Joists, completed in Step 4. Face 1 & 3 holds the Same Outer Joists with Angle Brace. There are a total of 2 Bolts and 2 Sleeve Nuts to connect 2 (two) pcs of Angle Brace to the Outer Joist, as detailed above.
  • Page 21 Step 11 FRONT By now, if your ideal location to place / position the Pergola has not been marked, it is recommended that this is done so, now. The Pergola is tall, wide and heavy. Therefore, to avoid any injury and or damage to the Pergola, it is best to assemble the Pergola closest to your ideal location.
  • Page 22 Step 12 12.2 12.1 There are 2 sub-steps. here in Step 12. At this assembly point, it is recommended to have 3 (three ) adults at hand, to facilitate the assembly and putting into position the partially assembled Pergola panel. With assistance from your adult partners, position 2 ( two ) pcs of Pillars approximately 6.5 (six point five) feet apart, closest to your marked ideal location.

  • Page 26 There are 2 (two) sub steps as below: 15.1: With assistance from your adult partners, slowly and carefully, stand up the FACE 2 - Pergola Panel in Step 14. This Pillar Panel would require 4 (four) pcs of Garden Stakes ( NOT provided) per Pillar that needs to be staked into the ground to keep the Pillar affixed into the ground.
  • Page 27 Step 16 16.2 16.1 Here in Step 16, this step is a 3-man team assembly. SAFETY REMINDER: in this step, the pergola is NOT anchored to the ground, carefully assembly is neccesary. There will be 2 ( two ) adult partners on the 2 ( two ) Step Ladders. For ease of assembly, the 2 (two) Ladders should be put outside of the Pillars.
  • Page 28 Step 17 Here in Step 17, the 3rd ( third ) adult partner will hand to the adult partners, the FACE 1 - INNER JOIST, due the 2 ( two ) adult partners are on the 2 ( two ) Step Ladders.
  • Page 29 Step 18 - REMINDER STEP : Throughout all of the above assembly steps, you have been guided to FULLY SECURE and TIGHTEN all Bolts and Screws. At this juncture, DO NOT PROCEED to the next step, instead, proceed to INSPECT AND ENSURE THAT ALL BOLTS, SLEEVE NUTS AND SCREWS ARE FULLY SECURED AND TIGHTENED.
  • Page 30 Step 19 Here in Step 19, it is recommended to be a 3 ( three ) man job. There are 6 ( six ) pieces of Roof Slat Joists ( frame in Step 7) to be placed and affixed onto Inner and Outer Joists, as shown in the above images. For ease of assembly, 2 (two) Step Ladders are required and are placed as marked "outside "of the Pergola, as indicated above.
  • Page 31 Step 20 Here in Step 20, Cleat (E) is used to fix Inner and Outer Joists with Roof Slat Joists to be placed and affixed onto position as picture above. Use Screw (①) and Screw Driver (⑫) ( NOT PROVIDED ), and drive the Screw ‘towards’ Joists as shown above.

  • Page 33 Step 21 Here in Step 21, 2 ( two ) adult partners are on the Step Ladder shall receive and affix the Roof Lock Slat Joists. The 3rd ( third ) adult partner shall hand the Roof Lock Joists to the 2 adult partners on the Step Ladders.

    Descend from the Step Ladders. Then, STAKE IN ALL the GARDEN STAKES FULLY AND COMPLETELY into the garden grounds. The above completes the assembly for Your Square Pergola, and is ready for use.
