Neuralog 300x User Guide Installing the Neuralog 300x The Neuralog 300x will work with either USB or over your wired network. It is not a wireless printer and will not work well over a wireless network because continuous printing requires a significant amount of data bandwidth. USB is the fastest and therefore recommended type of printer connection.

WellLogFullScale and WellLogHalfScale are already defined in the printer driver and should be selected as the Paper Size when printing well logs. While the Neuralog 300x will print continuous with any page size, selecting one of the built in well log types provides the correct margins and best results.
  • Page 29: Sizing To Fit

If your well log is wider than 8.5 inches, you will need to use "size to fit" to print them on the Neuralog 300x. NeuraView ships with the 300x and is able to size your well log to the width you need. Many other well log applications also include width sizing.
  • Page 30 Neuralog 300x User Guide Figure: Managing Custom Form Sizes Note that custom form sizes should be set up before printing. Because creating custom form sizes is a system function, you must close completely out of the printer driver dialog for custom form sizes to be saved.
  • Page 31: Understanding Your Media

There are several vendors that create this media, however you should only used Neuralog certified media in your well log printer. Better quality well log paper not only produces a superior print, but also folds much better than cheaper media. Contact Neuralog if you need to verify that your media vendor is supplying certified Neuralog paper.

Make sure the network router, hub, or switch is turned on and that it is working correctly. 4. Install the Neuralog 300x driver software from the CD or www site that came with the printer. Only the Neuralog 300x printer driver will work with the continuous printer.

12.13 Mark Sensor Calibration The Neuralog 300x printer includes a mark detect sensor that facilitates precise image placement. This sensor will be initialized or "calibrated" at the factory. It is unlikely that the need to recalibrate the mark sensor will arise, however the calibration procedure is provided below.
