Switch Mode Power Supply Unit
These instructions are intended for users without any
specific technical knowledge. Please read these instruc-
tions carefully prior to operation and keep them for later
reference.
1 Applications
This power supply unit is used for direct current supply of small
devices with an operating voltage between 5 V and 15 V and
a maximum current consumption of 3 A (at 5 – 12 V) or 2.4 A
(at 13.5 – 15 V).
The output voltage is adjustable to 5.0 V, 6.0 V, 7.5 V, 9.0 V,
12.0 V, 13.5 V or 15.0 V. The power supply unit is protected
against short circuit, overload and overheating. The special
feature of the power supply unit is its extra low current con-
sumption (< 0.10 W ) when the device connected has been
switched off.

2 Safety Notes

This power supply unit corresponds to all relevant directives of
the EU and is therefore marked with
This power supply unit corresponds to the relevant UK legisla-
tion and is therefore marked with UKCA.
WARNING
The power supply unit uses dangerous mains
voltage. Leave servicing to skilled personnel
only. Inexpert handling may result in electric
shock.
The power supply unit is suitable for indoor use only. Protect
it against dripping water and splash water, high air humidity
and heat (admissible ambient temperature range 0 – 40 °C).
Do not operate the power supply unit and immediately dis-
connect the mains plug from the mains socket
1. if there is visible damage to the unit or to the mains cable,
2. if a defect might have occurred after the unit was dropped
or suffered a similar accident,
3. if malfunctions occur.
In any case the unit must be repaired by skilled personnel.
A damaged mains cable must be replaced by skilled person-
nel only.
Never pull the mains cable to disconnect the mains plug from
the mains socket, always seize the plug.
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth; never use chemicals
or water.

No guarantee claims for the power supply unit and no liability
for any resulting personal damage or material damage will be
accepted if the unit is used for other purposes than originally
intended, if it is not correctly connected, if it is overloaded or
if it is not repaired in an expert way.
If the power supply unit is to be put out of opera-
tion definitively, dispose of the power supply unit
in accordance with local regulations.

3 Operation

1) Determine the operating voltage of the device to be supplied
with power (
marking of the power supply jack on the
device) and adjust the voltage by turning the switch (3) with
the key supplied (2).
2) Select the matching adapter from the 7 adapters supplied:
identification letter A

identification letter S
identification letter H
Hollow

identification letter E
identification letter G
Determine the position of the positive and negative poles
at the power supply jack of the device to be connected
(
  marking of the jack) and connect the adapter to the
inline jack (1) accordingly.
With this marking or a similar marking of the
power supply jack, the positive pole must be at the tip or at
the inner contact of the adapter: Connect the adapter to the
inline jack in such a way that the arrow of the inline jack will
point to the number(s) of the adapter (fig.
With this marking, the negative pole must be at
the tip or at the inner contact of the adapter: Connect the
adapter to the inline jack in such a way that the arrow of the
inline jack will point to the identification letter (fig.
3) Use the adapter to connect the power supply unit to the
device to be supplied with power; then connect it to a mains
socket (100 – 240 V, 50 – 60 Hz). The red power LED will light
up.
