Adding M^ory
You can install additional SIMMs (single in-line memory modules) in
your PC, to a maximum of 128 megabytes (MB).
Note
^ You must install SIMMs in pairs. Fill each memory bank with SIMMS of the same
type (Fast Page or EDO), speed (60 ns), and size (4, 8,16, or 32 MB).

Caution
Make sure you observe the proper safety precautions when you add SIMMs to your
Sony PC. See "Notes on Use" on page 109.
To install memory

Shut down your PC, turn off all peripheral devices, such as your
printer, display, and speakers, and then unplug your PC.

Remove the side and rear panels as described on pages 90-91.

If necessary, remove any add-in cards or other components to access
the SIMM sockets.

Handle the SIMM only by the edges, and remove it from its anti-static
package.
