This symbol is used to indicate safety instructions or to draw your attention to specific hazards and risks.

Safety Notes

  • The product is intended for private, non-commercial use only.
  • Protect the product from dirt, moisture and overheating, and only use it in a dry environment.
  • Do not drop the product and do not expose it to any major shocks.
  • Keep this product, as all electrical products, out of the reach of children!
  • Do not modify the product in any way. Doing so voids the warranty.

Danger of hearing loss due to alarm
  • Please note that when the alarm is triggered or when you are testing the device, the emitted signal tone generates high sound pressure that can quickly cause hearing loss.
  • Make sure you are not in the immediate vicinity of the alarm speaker for more than 3 minutes during a test or when the alarm is triggered.
  • During a test, cover the alarm speaker with your palm and/or cover your ears and those of persons in the vicinity to protect against hearing loss.

  • The alarm siren does not prevent or offer protection against break-ins, attacks, etc., but it frightens away intruders/attackers with the alarm tone and/or alerts those in your vicinity (e.g. neighbours) of the emergency.

Getting Started


Batteries
  • Immediately remove and dispose of dead batteries from the product.
  • Only use batteries (or rechargeable batteries) that match the specified type.
  • When inserting batteries, note the correct polarity (+ and - markings) and insert the batteries accordingly. Failure to do so could result in the batteries leaking or exploding.
  • Do not mix old and new batteries or batteries of a different type or make.
  • Do not attempt to charge non-rechargeable batteries, as they may explode.
  • Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
  • Do not short circuit the batteries/rechargeable batteries and keep them away from uncoated metal objects.
  • Never open, damage or swallow batteries or allow them to enter the environment. They can contain toxic, environmentally unfriendly heavy metals.
  • Remove the batteries from products that are not being used for an extended period.

Insert the batteries

Remove the screw on the bottom of the product and open the battery compartment. Remove the contact breaker. Replace the battery compartment cover and screw it in place.

Testing/replacing the batteries

  • If the product does not respond during a function test or does not respond correctly, replace the batteries as soon as possible.
  • Open the battery compartment, remove and properly dispose of the dead batteries and insert four new LR44 batteries with the correct polarity. Replace the battery compartment cover.
  • Check the condition of the product and the battery regularly and no less than once per year.

Function test

  • Pull the keyring pendant to remove the metal pin from the device and trigger an alarm.
  • An alarm tone sounds, and the LED begins flashing in the rhythm of the alarm tone.
  • Insert the metal pin on the keyring pendant back into the device to stop the alarm.

Operation

  • Pull the keyring pendant to remove the metal pin from the device and trigger an alarm.
  • An alarm tone sounds, and the LED begins flashing in the rhythm of the alarm tone.
  • The alarm does not stop automatically!
  • Insert the metal pin on the keyring pendant back into the device to stop the alarm.
  • With the keyring pendant, you can attach the alarm siren to your purse, your keys, etc.
  • You can also replace the keyring pendant with a panic cord.
  • Use the panic cord as a lanyard and trigger the alarm tone by pulling on the device until the metal pin on the panic cord detaches from the device.
  • Press and hold the LIGHT button to use the LED as a torch.

Care and Maintenance

Only clean this product with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth and do not use aggressive cleaning agents. Make sure that water does not get into the product.
