CORRECTIONS OF FAULTS
FAULTS
Flame is extinguished immediately after ignition
Pump does not start and signal light does not come in,
in position "1" or position "2" when the heater
is preheated.
Flame extinguishes while the pump still works.
Burner makes humming noise.
Soot formation in burner and chimney.
Unburned oil in burner.
CAUSE
1 No electrical supply.
2 Water or sediment in the tank.
3 Pump motor not switched on.
4 Motor and pump do not work.
5 Inlet tube is blocked, oil flows back into the tank
through the return line.
6 Pump thermostat has not yet reached full temperature.
9 Combustion air supply is not sufficient.
10 Flue draught is not correct.
11 Chimney draught is too strong or fluctuates
too much.
12 Chimney draught is too low.
13 Limit thermostat is faulty or blocked.
14 Overflow protection is full.
CAUSE

SOLUTION
+ Check if the plug is in the socket and check fuses.
+ Clean tank and filter.
+ Put the switch in position "1".
+ Fuel too thick or too cold. Dilute with diesel.
+ Check pump thermostat and replace if necessary.
+ Check motor and see if there is dirt inside the
pump.
+ Clean the drip feed pipe. replace if required.
+ Let heater cool down and re-start.
+ Let the burner operate longer in position "1"
+ Replace pump thermostat (74).
Remember: before any investigation, remove
the plug from the socket.
+ Clean the holes of the combustion chamber.
+ Check proper functioning of the fan.
+ Ensure assembly follows pattern shown in "Flue
Installation".
+ Check if there is any air leak.
+ Clean the flue if necessary.
+ Mount draught stabilizer and adjust at minimum
2 mm W.C. (19,6 Pa).
+ Check all connections.
+ Reduce quantity of bends.
+ Heighten chimney.
+ Insulate the flue pipes outside the building.
+ See flue details in this manual.
+ Reset thermostat.
+ Replace thermostat.
+ Clean overflow protection.
