D. HDD INSTALLATION
NOTE: THE RECORDER CAN WORK WITHOUT A DRIVE, BUT THEN THE FUNCTIONS OF VIDEO RECORDING AND PLAYBACK WILL BE
UNAVAILABLE.
NOTE: THE SET SUPPORTS 3.5" AND 2.5" HDDS WITH A MAXIMUM CAPACITY OF 6TB, WE RECOMMEND USING HDDS DESIGNED FOR
MONITORING.
NOTE: MAKE SURE THE RECORDER IS DISCONNECTED FROM THE POWER SUPPLY BEFORE INSTALLING THE DRIVE.
1. Remove the screws located on the back of the case and then remove the case.
2. Arrange the drive in the designated space in the case. Then, holding the disk with your hand, turn the recorder over. Align
the HDD mounting holes with the holes on the recorder and then screw the HDD in place using the screws provided.
3. Connect the SATA cables to the respective ports on the HDD, then close the case and fasten the screws.
NOTE: THE DISKS MUST BE FORMATTED AFTER BEING INSTALLED IN THE RECORDER. AFTER THE RECORDER STARTS UP, A WINDOW
WILL POP OUT ON HOW TO FORMAT THE DRIVE, PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS ON THE SCREEN.
