PDI PROCEDURES
Working With a Flat Lift
The undercover is 90 mm lower than the side sill. A flat
lift may interfere with the undercover, so use
attachments that are at least 120 mm tall when putting
the vehicle on a lift.
Use attachments that are at least 120 mm tall
to prevent damage to the undercover.
UNDERCOVER
Install the Fuses
To prevent battery drain during shipping, the No. 22
(7.5 A) fuse (Interior Lights) and the No. 23 (10 A) fuse
(Backup) are removed from the under-hood fuse/relay
box and stored in the glove box. Reinstall these fuses.

Fuel the Vehicle
Fill the fuel tank after installing the fuses. If you do not
install the fuses, the fuel gauge will take much longer
than normal to display an accurate reading. If you have
filled the tank prior to installing the fuses, but you don't
want to wait for the gauge to display the correct level,
do this:
1. With the fuses removed, turn the ignition switch to
the LOCK (0) position, and let the vehicle sit for
10 minutes.
2. Reinstall the fuses, and turn the ignition switch to
the ON (II) position. The fuel gauge will then display
the correct level.
Do the Idle-Learn Procedure
To ensure a steady engine idle, do the idle-learn
procedure after installing the No. 23 (10 A) fuse.
NOTE: Idle speed adjustment is done by the PCM;
there is no adjustment screw. Idle-learn must be done
whenever you reset, update, or replace the PCM, or
replace or clean the throttle body. It does not need to
be done after you erase DTCs with the HDS.
1. Make sure all electrical items (A/C, audio unit,
defogger, lights, etc.) are off.
2. Start the engine. Put the gear selector in P, and
hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm until the
radiator fan comes on.
3. Let the engine idle for 10 minutes with the throttle
fully closed.
Install the Shift Lock Release Cover
The shift lock release is located next to the shift lever.
For vehicle operation during shipment, the shift lock
release cover is removed and stored in the PDI bag in
the glove box. Retrieve the cover from the PDI bag,
and install it in the slot.
