SPECIFICATION

OPERATION

Switch A activates the Cree LED for the spotlight (focused) mode. To change the light output, keep the switch depressed while the headlamp is on.

Switch B activates the CREE LED flood- light (dispersed light) mode. To change the light output, keep the switch de- pressed while the light is on.

Press switches A and B simultaneously to activate the headlamp in both spotlight and floodlight modes.

Switch C activates the headlamp in the 4 x Nichia LED mode. To change the light output, keep the switch depressed while the light is on.

Switch D activates the rear light, located in the battery pack, in one of the following colors: flashing red, flashing green or flashing blue. To change the mode from flashing to continuous light, keep switch D depressed while the light is on.

Last settings memory
When the headlamp is switched on, the memory function resumes the last operational mode.

Automatic Energy safe mode
The headlamp's intelligent control system automatically reduces the light out- put and prevents the activation of additional functions when the battery level is low.

Switch lock
To prevent battery drainage by accidentally turning the headlamp on when stored in a pack or pocket, push the switch while the headlamp is off for 3 seconds. To unlock the headlamp, press the switch again for 3 seconds.

Four AA batteries power the headlamp. Use only quality alkaline or NiMH rechargeable batteries. Please observe proper polarity when replacing the batteries. Failure to do so may void the warranty.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Do not disassemble the headlamp. The CREE LED offers an estimated life exceeding 50,000 hours. Disassembly, or other unauthorized modifications, will automatically void the warranty.

In the event that the headlamp is not functioning

Check that the batteries are not depleted. Check battery polarity. Insert the batteries as indicated on the battery compartment. Make sure the contacts in the battery compartment are not corroded. Clean if necessary, taking special care as not to bend the contacts.

If the flashlight still does not function: contact the Mactronic service department.

Care and maintenance

After using the headlamp in a humid environment, remove and dry the batteries. Periodically clean the headlamp using a soft cloth dampened in lukewarm water with mild soap. Do not clean with sharp, abrasive objects. Make sure not to scratch the lens. Detach the headlamp's headstrap prior to cleaning.

Storage

Prior to long-term storage, remove the batteries. Keep away from UV radiation, humidity and chemical substances.

Modifications and repairs

Unless authorized by Mactronic in writing, any modifications and user attempts at home repairs will automatically void the warranty.

Mactronic warranty

Mactronic covers the headlamp with a 2-year warranty for any manufactured defects in material and/or workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal use, rust, unauthorized modifications, im- proper storage, damage from falls, improper handling, corrosion from leaking batteries and use of the headlamp contrary to its intended purpose, for example as a diving lamp.

Battery information

Always observe the polarity as indicated on the battery container.

If battery acid gets in contact with skin, immediately flush the affected area with fresh water and seek medical attention.

Remove the batteries prior to long-term storage.

Do not attempt to recharge alkaline batteries.

Do not attempt to open the batteries. Never dispose of batteries in fire.

Keep away from children

The headlight beam is very powerful, do not look directly into the light source! Use of the headlamp by children is not recommended.
