  • Page 15 SAFETY SUMMARY FM-200 fire suppression systems use pressurized equipment; therefore, personnel responsible for fire suppression systems must be aware of the dangers associated with the improper handling, installation or maintenance of this equipment. Fire suppression system service personnel must be thoroughly trained in the proper handling, installation and service of FM-200 equipment and follow the instructions used in this manual and in the Safety Bulletin, on the cylinder nameplate and contained in Appendix A.
  • Page 16 The safety cap must be installed in the valve outlet AT ALL TIMES except when the cylinders are connected into the system piping or being filled. The safety cap is intentionally chained to the cylinder valve to prevent loss while in service and must not be removed from its chain.
