CHARGING THE UNIT

Only use the adaptor supplied with the appliance.

1. Insert plug into appliance and connect the adapter, making sure the trimmer is in the OFF position. Before using the appliance for the first time, charge it for 3 hours.
2. Check that the charging indicator light is flashing.
3. A full charge provides 120 minutes of cordless use
4. Subsequent charges should be 2 hours after the initial 3 hours.

Your BaBylissMEN 12 in 1 Multi Trimmer is equipped with a Li-ion battery.

Before using for the first time, the appliance should be fully charged continuously for 3 hours. This initial super-charge ensures optimum power performance to ensure smooth fast trimming every time. Maximum battery capacity will only be reached after 3 charging and discharging cycles.

PRESERVING THE Li-ion BATTERIES

In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the trimmer should be fully discharged and then recharged for 2 hours every 6 months.

N.B.: If the charging light suddenly starts to flash rapidly then the appliance is faulty. If this happens then please stop charging and remove the adaptor from the mains and contact our Customer Care Centre for further advise.

PREPARATION FOR USE

• Always inspect the appliance before use for noticeable signs of damage.
• Do not use if damaged.
• Ensure the blades are free from hair and debris.
• Ensure the appliance is sufficiently charged.
• Use on clean, dry hair that has been combed until tangle free.

CORDLESS OPERATION

• Once the appliance is fully charged the blue LED charging light will stop flashing but remain on, unplug the adaptor from the mains
• When the trimmer is running low on charge, the LED indicator light will flash, warning you that the unit needs to be recharged.

CHANGING THE HEADS

• Before changing the heads, ensure the trimmer is switched off.
• To remove the head, twist the pull off.
  
  
• To attach the head, by aligning the markers up, sliding the head on and twisting the head to lock.
  

USING THE ADJUSTABLE STUBBLE COMB GUIDE

The adjustable stubble comb guide allows you to take control of the length of your stubble to the ideal length between 1mm-3.5mm. You will need to experiment to find your preferred length, but as a guide, 1mm will give you a very short be a stubble beard and 3.5mm will be a short, neater beard

• Select a cutting length (1-3.5mm) using the slide switch on the top of the comb
• Once you have selected your desired cutting length, the guide automatically locks into position for a guaranteed, even cut.
• Switch the trimmer on by sliding the power button up, the blades will start to move and you can begin trimming.

USING THE 7-POSITION COMB GUIDE FOR PRECISION TRIMMER

• Ensure the appliance is switched off.
• Attach the Precision Trimmer head.
• Align the trimmer with the tracks at the back of the handle. Slide the trimmer head onto the tracks. Push down the release mechanism to push it right on to the handle.
• The comb guide will be set to the shortest length when the comb guide is fully pressed down.
  
  
• With your thumb, push the guide up to the required length (2-14mm).
• The comb guide has 7 positions; 2mm, 4mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm.
• To remove the comb, place your thumb on the back of the attachment and push up.
  

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

To maintain optimum performance, the appliance should be cleaned after each use:

• Remove the comb guide after use. Rinse the comb guide under running water and dry thoroughly before storage or use.
• Use the cleaning brush supplied to brush away any hair and debris. Do not use a sharp object to clean the trimmer blade.
• The heads can be removed to aid cleaning.
• To remove the blades head or to re-attach the blades head, ref. the "CHANGING THE HEADS" Section.
• Gently blow away any hair trapped beneath the blades.
• The heads can be rinsed under the tap.
• Ensure the trimmer heads are dry before re-attaching to the trimmer body.
• After cleaning, switch the appliance on and oil the blades using a few drops of the lubricating oil supplied. Only use the lubricating oil supplied with the appliance as this is specifically formulated for high speed trimmers and does not evaporate or slow the blades.
