    SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS This owner’s manual contains essential information that must be followed during the operation and maintenance of the Eveready® Energy Vault system (“Energy Vault”) and is intended for the primary user/operator of the system. To ensure safe installation and operation, the Energy Vault should only be installed by a CEC accredited technician/installer.

    The Eveready® Energy Vault system must not be installed near a source of heat or ignition that may lead to sparks or open flames, for e.g., near electric or gas-based water heaters.
  • Page 8 Do not impact, pull, drag, step, or apply strong force on the system. Do not use solvents and/or cleaning fluids to clean the Eveready® Energy Vault system or expose it to harsh chemicals or vapours. Do not expose the Eveready® Energy Vault system to temperatures in excess of 50°C.

    Operating Principle The Eveready® Energy Vault is designed to function seamlessly with your existing solar PV system(s) and the utility grid. It utilises excess solar generation to intelligently charge and discharge the battery and relies on Current Transformers (CTs) to measure solar generation and grid based consumption.   • Page 13 Back-Up mode allows users that have opted for Blackout Protection at the time of installation, to customise their battery energy usage during a blackout event. The Eveready® Energy Vault AS1 system can reserve a certain percentage of the battery to counter a blackout event. This energy is then discharged towards a few emergency back-up circuits, thus avoiding power interruption to essential circuits during a blackout.

    System Monitoring The Eveready® Energy Vault is designed for both indoor and outdoor installations and can be monitored using the LED Status Indicators located on the primary interface of the AS1. Under normal operation, the State of Charge (SoC %) is displayed, along with custom flashing lights based on battery operation.

    System Operation If you are unable to resolve the system fault(s) via the Eveready® Energy Vault App, then you may be required to power cycle the Eveready® Energy Vault AS1 system in consultation with your system provider. Follow the steps below to conduct a full system shutdown.

    System Connection Diagrams The Eveready® Energy Vault AS1 system shall be configured as per the site’s energy requirements. As specified in Section 4, each primary unit [AS1-3KS-5.1] can be installed either in a stand-alone manner or combined with up to 3 secondary units [B1-5.1-48], allowing a maximum battery capacity of 20.4 kWh.
  • Page 25 Case 1 – CTs only The Eveready® Energy Vault AS1 system is installed to meet the electrical requirements of the site. If the service connection is single-phase, the system shall employ a combination of CTs (Grid and PV CTs) to measure relevant grid import/ export and solar generation data.
  • Page 26 Case 2 – Digital Meters only If the Eveready® Energy Vault AS1 system is installed on a site with a multi-phase service connection, it shall employ digital meters to measure grid import/export and solar generation. The system is connected as per the below schematic. Note, the Back-Up (UPS) feature is applicable only for End-Users that have opted for Blackout Protection at the time of purchase.

    Technical Resolutions If the system is not operating correctly or a fault/alarm persists, contact your Eveready® Energy Vault system provider. Always ensure that your Eveready® Energy Vault AS1 system is connected to the internet and you have all relevant information pertaining to the fault, prior to contacting your system provider.

    Emergency Procedures The Eveready® Energy Vault AS1 and B1 systems have a lithium-ion battery that contains several chemicals and organic electrolytes, which are hermetically sealed within a metal enclosure. There is no risk of chemical exposure under routine use of the unit’s specific application. In case of an emergency, where there is a genuine threat to health or safety, contact emergency personnel or fire response teams immediately and present the Safety Datasheet (SDS).

    Warranty Conditions SolarBOS Pty. Ltd. (“SolarBOS”) shall provide a limited product warranty (“Warranty”) for the Eveready® Energy Vault systems (Product) to an End-User, subject to the terms and conditions covered within this Warranty document, so long as the system is installed within the territory of Australia.
  • Page 39 7 years (84 months) from the date of installation, whichever comes first. The Product should comply with the specified operating conditions as detailed within the Installation Manual supplied with the Eveready® Energy Vault. Extended Warranties for Products are available upon request.
  • Page 40 Pre-conditions for Warranty This Warranty is subject to the following conditions: 2.1 The failure of the Product must occur within the Warranty Period as described in Section 1. 2.2 The Product must be installed, wired, and commissioned correctly by a CEC qualified and licensed installer.
  • Page 41 Warranty Period and promised services to the faulty Product will be expired. In this event, no new certificate will be offered. 3.6 For the Eveready® Energy Vault Products, it is required that all systems have internet connection for monitoring.

  • Page 45 Deadlines for Submitting Warranty Claims We aim to rectify genuine quality problems as a priority. This is generally achieved by analysing and investigating why defective products have failed and by introducing immediate corrective measures to prevent re-occurrence of failures. It is therefore critical that all claims under this Warranty are promptly submitted to us as soon as the Product fails, and in any event, within 14 days of knowledge of the matter of event giving rise to the claim.

You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
