INSTALLATION/OWNERS
FOR MODELS: LED1EM, LED2EM, LED1AC, LED2AC,
Models with batteries must be stored in a cool place
(80°F max., preferably 68°F) and installed within 90 days !
IMPORTANT: In signs with battery, red and black lead wires must be connected
to battery or sign will not operate upon power outage !!!
NOTE: Take care not to bend "EXIT" board or "EXIT" board plugs during installation.
Though reinforced, copper tracings can be broken and the sign rendered inoperable.
IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1) Do not use outdoors*.
2) Do not mount near gas or electrical heaters.
3) Use caution when servicing batteries. Battery acid can cause burns to skin and
eyes. If acid is spilled on skin or in eyes, flush acid with fresh water and contact
a physician immediately.
4) Mount exit sign in locations and at heights where it will not be subjected to
tampering by unauthorized personnel.
5) These models are not designed for operation of remote lamps.
6) Use of any accessory equipment not recommended by the manufacturer may
cause an unsafe condition.
7) All servicing should be performed by qualified service personnel.
8) Do not use this equipment for other than intended use.

  • Page 2 Select (top, end, or back) WIRING KNOCK-OUT and remove it. a polarized input (positive to red) of 12 to 24 VDC. The maximum current required to activate the FAP OPTIONAL: Mount CANOPY to EXIT HOUSING with 2 CANOPY SCREWS, WASHERS & HEX NUTS (provided).
  • Page 3 CHECKING DIAGNOSTIC INDICATORS The red indicator LED near the test button indicates that the battery is being charged. The green LED indicates that the unit is receiving power. Once battery is charged; continuous red and green indicators indicate dead battery or malfunction and service is required. Continuous red and green is normal up to 24 hours after extended power failure.
