- Page 3 FITTING GUIDE STEREO REMOVAL 1a. Use a panel removal tool to release the air cone unit and remove 2x screws located here (this step is only required for Volkswagen Golf vehicles). 1b. Use a panel removal tool to remove the trim surrounding the main radio. This will reveal 4x screws which will need to be removed.

Take the steering wheel control interface in hand and connect both the 12-way stereo patch lead and the 14-way steering wheel harness connectors to the corresponding sides. 2. Connect the bullet connector from the stereo patch lead to the ‘steering wheel remote input’ on the back of the new stereo.
