UNICOM PLUS is a UNIVERSAL adapter module for OEM steering wheel commands. It is compa ble with a wide range of vehicles with a resis ve protocol
and with the autoradios, listed in the table a ached, and equipped with a wired remote input. A self-learning procedure will make its installa on simple and
quick. You would be able to assign any func on handled by the a;ermarket autoradio to each key bu on on your steering wheel.
This module is equipped with a free wires harness, this configura on allows to use the product with all versions of the most well known OEM steering wheel
commands. According to the vehicle models, a certain number of wires must be connected. The different possibili es of installa on are described in CON-
NECTION sec on. The diagrams shown on the following pages concern the UNICOM PLUS connec ons with some vehicles such as: Alfa Romeo, Chevrolet,
Fiat, Ford, Nissan, Kia, Opel, Hyundai etc. In order to adapt UNICOM PLUS to other vehicles it is necessary to have correct informa on about the type of
cabling present in the vehicle.
Once the connec ons are finished switch on the igni on to supply power to UNICOM PLUS, LED will flash one me RED quickly to indicate that the NO BUT-
TON PRESSED state has been memorized.
Now you must assign to each func ons of your the a;ermarket radio an available bu on/lever on your car steering wheel command.
Func ons assignment follows the sequen al logic described in the TABLE a ached .
The first func on available is VOLUME —.
Each me you press a bu on on your steering wheel, the UNICOM PLUS LED will briefly blink to indicate that the func on has been correctly memorized
To skip a func on press the UNICOM PLUS BUTTON once.
It is possible to manage up to 9 bu ons/levers.
If less than 9 bu ons/levers are present on the steering wheel, it will be necessary to force the exit from the programming manually.
To carry out this procedure, you only need to press the last bu on/lever of the steering wheel ll the UNICOM LED lights YELLOW.
When the programming is finished, the LED GREEN light will remain ON.
The learning procedure has been completed, insert the UNICOM JACK into the appropriate input on the back side of the radio.
Switch on the autoradio, tune in the radio and use your car steering wheel commands to handle the func ons; if any troubles are found, please make the
RESET and repeat very carefully the LEARNING PROCEDURE from the beginning.
To RESET the unit keep UNICOM bu on pressed ll the LED starts blinking RED.
