and properly maintained, give you years of trouble free performance.
IMPORTANT
PLEASE READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. NOTE THE SAFE OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS, WARNINGS, AND CAUTIONS.
USE THIS PRODUCT CORRECTLY, AND WITH CARE FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT IS INTENDED. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY
CAUSE DAMAGE, OR PERSONAL INJURY, AND WILL INVALIDATE THE WARRANTY.
1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
!Ensure the Jack is in sound condition, and good working order. Take action for immediate repair or replacement of damaged parts.
!Use recommended accessories only, (The use of improper accessories may be dangerous and will invalidate the warranty).
!Keep the Jack clean for best and safest performance.
!Locate the Jack in an adequate working area for its function.
!Keep working area clean and tidy and free from unrelated materials.
!Ensure the working area has adequate lighting.
!Use the Jack on level and solid ground only, preferably concrete. Avoid lifting on tarmacadam since jack wheels may sink in.
!Place wedges under wheels of vehicle, but ensure wheels of jack can move.
!Ensure the vehicle handbrake is engaged (or in “PARKED” mode).
!Switch the engine off.
!Check minimum distance of 0.5m between vehicle tilt and static objects such as doors, walls, etc.
!Ensure all non essential persons keep a safe distance whilst the Jack is in use.
!Ensure there is no one in the vehicle that is to be jacked up.
!Place the jack under the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended lifting points, (Check vehicle hand book).
!Check that the lifting point is stable and centred on the jack saddle.
!DANGER: Use the Jack for lifting only. NOT for supporting the lifted load.
!Use correct Jack stands under the vehicle before proceeding with any task.
!Use a qualified person to check and lubricate the Jack
!Confirm that the recommended hydraulic oil is used during maintenance.
%DO NOT operate the Jack if damaged.
%DO NOT allow untrained persons to operate the Jack.
%DO NOT exceed the rated capacity of the Jack. The 20CT maximum capacity is 20tons.
%DO NOT allow the vehicle to move during Jacking.
%DO NOT use the Jack to move vehicle.
%DANGER : DO NOT Jack a vehicle which may result in the spillage of fuel, battery acid, or other dangerous substances.
%DO NOT allow any one inside the vehicle to be Jacked up.
%DO NOT work under the vehicle until Axle Stands have been correctly positioned.
%DO NOT use the Jack for purposes other than which it is intended.
!Store Jack in a dry, child proof area when not in use.

ASSEMBLY
2. 1.
Loosen the knurled screw (Item 18) at the side of the Handle base (Item 59).

Insert Jack handle (Item 68), tighten knurled screw until it catches the groove in the handle.

Check that the handle can be lifted and turned about 20mm.
3.
OPERATING
3.1.
Before using the jack, purge the hydraulic circuit in order to eliminate any possible air in the system.
a) Open the release valve.
b) Pump the handle several times to ensure full internal lubrication and to
bleed any air from the system.
c) Release the handle to close the release valve when done.
3.2.
JACKING UP TO THE VEHICLES LIFTING POINT
3.2.1
Prepare the vehicle as mentioned in safety instructions (1) above.
3.2.2
Position Jack Saddle under the vehicle manufacturer’s recommended lifting point.
3.2.3
Pump handle with full up and down strokes so the saddle reaches the vehicles lifting point.
3.2.4.
Alternatively, use the foot peddle to achieve the same quick rise to the required height.
3.3.
LIFTING THE LOAD
3.3.1
Elevate the handle to a position of approximately 1/3 of the up stroke from ground level.
3.3.2
Keep pumping until the load reaches the required height.
3.3.3
Avoid repeated small pump movements at the top of the lifting cylinder.
3.3.4
If the Jack is overloaded the excess pressure valve will open and stop the vehicle from being raised.
3.4.
LOWERING THE LOAD
3.4.1
Twist the handle anti-clockwise.
3.4.2
The speed the jack lowers the load depends upon the angle of the handle. If the handle is upright the load will lower slowly,
if the handle is horizontal to the floor it will lower the load quicker. Lower with caution and avoid sudden jolts.

  • Page 2 If oil level is low, fill as required. Note: low oil level may result in the Jack not lifting to its fullest extent. IMPORTANT: Use a good quality Jack oil, such as SEALEY HYDRAULIC OIL. WARNING: DO NOT use brake fluid, or any fluid other than hydraulic fluid as this may cause serious damage to the Jack and will invalidate the warranty! 4.4.
