    2 Legal The Scooterpac Ignite Mini is designed to be operated by a single person, in accordance with the legal requirements for operating a Class 3 invalid carriage in the jurisdiction in which it was sold. Operating the vehicle outside of these limitations may invalidate your warranty.

    3.2 Safe Inclines The Ignite Mini can climb inclines of up to 15˚ without danger. On this 15˚ incline, the Ignite Mini can stop, brake and turn. It is possible to attempt steeper inclines, but we strongly suggest that you do not. To reduce the possibility of tipping backwards on inclines, lessen the load on the back of the scooter by sliding the seat forward as much as possible and leaning forward.

    4 Introduction Your Ignite Mini is a high-tech piece of mobility equipment that will give you years of faithful service and enjoyment. This manual introduces you to the operation, maintenance and care of your Ignite. If you have any questions, or are unsure of anything, please contact the dealer your originally purchased the Ignite from.

    5.1 Intended Use The Ignite Mini is designed for use on smooth pavement or roadway, in accordance with local laws. The Ignite Mini can be used in wet and windy weather, but discretion should be used when planning a journey in adverse weather conditions. If there is more than 1cm of water standing on the pavement, extra care should be taken as the scooter may have reduced ability to grip and steer.

    5.2 Unintentional Movement Before operating, the Ignite Mini should always be stationary. When the Ignite Mini is switched on, it will remain stationary until one of the following: 1. The forward or reverse lever is pulled/pushed. 2. The freewheel function is engaged.

    For the most accurate steering the Ignite Mini should be moving forwards or backwards at a controllable speed. Gently push one side of the tiller away from you, allowing the Ignite Mini to begin turning. Make sure that you are continually observing your surroundings during any manoeuvre.

    7.5 Acceleration & Braking 7.5.1 Speed Controls The Ignite Mini has several methods for controlling speed; the High and Low Speed Modes, the Min/Max Speed Limiter and the Throttle Levers. 7.5.1.1 High and Low Speed Modes The high (“H”) and low (“L”) speed modes are controlled by the right-hand dial on the tiller.

    7.5.2 Freewheel Function You may need to move the Ignite Mini without engaging the motor. This can be achieved by pressing and holding the “Freewheel” button. The scooter must be switched on, with keys in the ignition and power to the main display.

    7.5.3 Reversing To engage reverse mode, ensure that the Ignite Mini is stationary and on even ground. Before moving, check that the area is clear of obstructions and your planned path is of adequate size. Gently squeeze the red lever, and the Ignite Mini will begin to slowly move backwards.

    7.6 Using the Ignite Mini The Ignite Mini will start once the ignition key is inserted into the housing on the tiller and turned clockwise (figure 10). The Ignite Mini is powered on and ready to be used when the digital dashboard displays visual data (figure 11).

    7.7.1 Odometer The displayed miles/kilometres on the Digital LCD Display are cumulative and represent the total distance the Ignite Mini has travelled. 7.7.2 Setting the Clock To set the clock follow the below instructions: 1. Press and hold the headlight button for five seconds 2.

    7.11 USB Charging Ports The Ignite Mini is equipped with USB charging ports on the right-hand side of the tiller column. The two USB ports provide different power outputs. USB Port 1 is located next to the LED light and USB Port 2 can be found on right hand side.

    7.12 Cup Holder For your convenience, the Ignite Mini is fitted with a bottle/cup holder. It can be opened by pulling down on the upper ring. The lower ring will follow. TOP TIP – The cup holder should not be used to store alcoholic beverages.

    7.13 Charge Port Charging the Ignite Mini can be completed by using the charge port on the tiller. The port is located on the tiller column on the right-hand side. To charge the scooter, simply connect the supplied charge cable to the port.

    10.2 Battery Care The battery assembly in your Ignite Mini should not require any maintenance on a day-to-day basis, however access may be required. The batteries are located under the seat, protected by a plastic shroud – secured by one thumb screw.

    10.3 Fuses The fuses used on the Ignite Mini are accessible through a covered hatch on the front of the tiller. To access the fuse board, simply pull down on the retaining clip and slide the cover out of place. Fuses should only be changed by professionals, as improper work may damage the Ignite Mini electrical system.

    The tyres should always have at least 3mm of tread to provide adequate grip on the road surface. If the tyres become worn, they should be replaced before the Ignite Mini is used again.

    10.5.2 Paintwork To care for the paint, regularly wash the Ignite Mini using soft cloths and a mild automotive detergent. Apply automotive polish to achieve a high-shine finish. It is highly recommended that polish is applied in areas where the paintwork may be exposed to adverse weather conditions.
