GLM6 series controls are designed for operating Grifco operators on spring balanced roller shutters, spring balanced roller doors and counterweighted bi-fold and vertical lift doors.
Congratulations on your purchase of the Grifco® Protector System model GPS15. The GPS15 is a single sided safety device providing monitored Entrapment Protection for use with Grifco® or Merlin® door operators and may be installed in areas exposed to rain or moisture up to an IP67 rating.
Any reflective surface on vehicles or surroundings that may affect the operation of the GPS15. • When installing GPS15 with bi-fold doors, position the photoelectric sensor and reflector so that the door does not break the beam as it is operated.
Install the secondary GPS15 (B) at a height above the primary GPS15 (A) so that each GPS15 set works independently of each other, and the sensors do not align with the other reflector.
MCB blinks rapidly. WARNING DO NOT CONNECT THE GPS15 to VDC OUT. The GPS15 must be connected to the IR1 or IR2 terminals only of the operator. Connection to a voltage output or incorrect polarity will damage the unit and void warranty.
INSTALLATION CONTINUED INSTALLATION S-DRIVE Connection The PRIMARY Entrapment Protection Device MUST be installed on the main control board Control Board: CLOSE EYES (Infrared Safety Beams) The CLOSE EYES/INTERRUPT input is for Photoelectric sensor entrapment protection in the CLOSING direction. When an obstruction is detected during closing, the door will stop and open to the fully open position.

Introduce an obstruction into the path of the photoelectric sensor and the door should stop and reverse. OPERATION Interruption of a GPS15 will prevent Grifco operators from completing a close cycle. Note: For S-Drive, both the Open and Close cycles will be stopped, depending on configuration.
